Not impressed with combine numbers..they don't mean anything. Only that someone can jump high or run fast..doesn't gauge if they will be a good nba player.

Exactly. I don't even know why they bother. It's like with the NFL. Who cares if someone can run a fast 40 time? Can they do that with pads on while running a precise route and the safety is looking to light them up?

The only thing that matters is whether you can play, not your raw athleticism. Plenty of freak athletes never developed the game, and plenty of less than great athletes had great skills.

Westbrook was extremely raw when he came out, and had never even played PG in college.

Worked out for him

One of the rare cases of he actually should of stayed in school for another year.

He'll get drafted for potential alone though. Would not be surprised if a dumb GM fell in love with him and he went somewhat high in the draft.

Cant go wrong with UCLA products. Good fundamental defense in almost all their prospects.

Even in those highlights his explosiveness is nowhere close to Westbrook. Not that that's a big dig, Russ is the most explosive player in the whole league, but just because he comes from UCLA and didn't quite live up to his hype in college doesn't make him the next Westbrook.

Too much risk going back. His stock is crazy high just on potential. If he played another year in college he would have to produce.

He couldn't start over the coach's son because the coach wants his kid to play, even to the team's detriment, is what you meant to say.

Right he didny but he did play all of Lavines minutes. That's what happened. So yeah I have a clue.

They played about the same amount of minutes. The thing is, Alford could shoot consistently and didn't turn the ball over. He was definitely a more poised player than Lavine. If Lavine can start hitting shots consistently he could end up being a great player, because he's already a hand full in the open court.

averages 9 points on a sub-average squad... and it deemed elite on the Offensive end. lol if he gets taken in the first 1-17 picks teams need to reevaluate scouting.
