So I took a stab at posting on the main forum today with a little more effort than my usual singular response and log off. I used to contribute in that war zone with more frequency but to be honest the reason why I pulled back was more so due to my life being busy opposed to the ridiculousness that occurs on a minute to minute basis on there.

With the said, here is some of foolishness I encountered during my short return. Don't know how some of you can tolerate posting in that cess pool on the daily.

For those of you that post in there regularly. I envy your patience. I constantly feel the urge or find myself verbally shredding dudes. If I posted as regularly as I once did I could see myself accumulating regular bans.

Let's not kid ourselves here. the main forum has always been a royal rumble but it's at a level now that is almost intolerable. And whenever something worth reading gets posted, it has to contend with 4-5 other bullocks threads that just send it packing down to the 2nd page.

When something decent gets posted, it will be swarmed by trolls within a minute.

There is absolutely not a single thread right now on the first page of the NBA forum that does not have troll posts in it.

Jeff does not care that his forum turned into one of the most laughable forums online. I honestly believe other basketball forums are laughing their ass off at how bad Insidehoops is.

Solution?

All jeff would need to do is IP ban 10 of the worst posters on this forum and their alternate accounts, never again to make an account here and this forum could already turn into better. He does not do shit though.

I've been posting here for ages so I understand how to navigate through the bullshit. There is also a myriad of posters around here who I genuinely enjoy shooting the shit with. But putting myself in the chair of a potential new poster or lurker who is seeking legit & intelligent basketball discussion/debate, I really don't see how the main forum could possibly be an attractive destination to allot your valuable time to.


There's more quality control in a rape shack in a 3rd world country than there is around here sometmes.

You just have to look at the entire forum as an opportunity to get a laugh and not a basketball discussion. That way when you actually find a legit conversation, you're not let down when it flies off topic 4 posts from then.

That's a glaring red flag to me - When people have come to the point where they don't even log onto your 'basketball' forum to discuss basketball anymore, but rather to obtain some quick lols.
