Having Shaq and Kobe at 1 and 2 sort of defeats itself.
I mean, they won 5 and 4 rings respectively whilst Duncan won 4 without another top 10 player.
Also, if we just use the years post-Jordan, Shaq has absolutely no case over Duncan.

1. Kobe Bryant
2. Shaquille O'Neal
3. Tim Duncan

HM: Allen Iverson
Kevin Durant doesn't deserved to be mentioned YET, imo.

I'll do it for you:
Shaq from 99-11: 23.4 / 11.8 / 2.4 / 0.5 / 2.2
Duncan from 99-14: 21.6 / 11.9 / 3.2 / 0.7 / 2.4
And this is Duncan playing 54 more games.

Duncan
Shaq
LeBron
Kobe

Dirk
Garnett
Wade
are almost surefire top 30 players who made most of their damage post-Jordan. I put them in that order at this stage, but LeBron is going up and Shaq going down because he's already retired (and if you want to be precise, you'd only be looking at his body of work post 1998). Duncan keeps going up and Kobe might conceivably still go up if he can put together another strong year or two. After those it gets more complicated. Kidd, Nash, Durant (the one guy you can pretty much tell is going to shoot all the way up those lists eventually), Iverson, Pierce, Dwight, CP3, TMac, Ray Allen, Tony Parker, Melo, Vince, all deserve a spot in the top 100, but the order is very debatable...

I agree. I have no problem if someone puts Shaq above TD on the all time list, but if we're strictly talking '98 onwards, I don't think Shaq has a case. :confusedshrug:

He played with 5 in your top 10
Also, you like to point out how Duncan shoots from 1-2 foot. Isn't that what Shaq did?

Pathetic that most of Paul Pierce's prime years were wasted on a bunch of shitty Celtics teams until he won it all in 08.

I'm basing my list on the Spurs winning it all this year.
1) Tim Duncan
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Lebron James
4) Shaquille O'Neal
Then everyone else.

To the casual fan (in the public eye) Shaq, Garnett and Duncan will sink lower and lower as time passes. Kobe will definitely rise compared to his present perception. I don't know about LeBron though.
