ATM usually presses in league games. Tonight they did both. Pressed and parked. I knew eventually they were going to get tired as they normally do and give up goals. That happened in the 2nd half.

You can still park and have a good attack. People assume you park and get them on the counter. Those are Mou tactics. Simeone parks and has the players that can play the triangle and move the ball. Pass and move.

I admit RM was running around frantically while defending but at the end, great teams pull it off.

Bale is going to be one of those quiet players that contribute big. Look for him to have as big as a role as CR next season, as the team slowly transitions the balance of power.

I think the outcome may have been different if Costa was healthy and they blew it by wasting a sub just for him to play 9-10 minutes.:facepalm

They were definitely parking in the 2nd half. I already know they are a good defending team. They are not good at defending because they sit back. They are good defensively and throw in some of that parking the bus tactic, you can see why it was hard to score against them.
