bill laimbeer was dirty as hell and outright took shots at people.

adams is just playing physical and the main reason so many vets are losing control and going after him is because he literally doesn't respond to shit and it hurts their ego.

vince carter for example. john wall pounds his chest in his face and vc just laughs at him. vc elbows adams and adams shows literally no signs of taking any contact let alone an intentional elbow and vc looks mad as hell in response, like in a defeated way

shit like that pisses vets off when they see such a young player give such little ****s about their existence

Brian Cardinal is a 6'8" forward who shoots 3's and has never in his career cracked 6 rpg per 36 minutes. While Adams is a 7' defensive anchor and double-double machine when given minutes...in his rookie year. They're essentially nothing alike, in style or quality.

It's posts like these, where you throw random shit out there, that make it clear just how little you know about the game.

Adams is a poor man's Chris Andersen. Not joking. That's a very good comparison IMO.

imagine if you were a senior class president in HS and some freshman started roughing you up and then next week you tried to bully the freshman and he responded in a way that made you feel like he didn't even know you were trying to bully him

it'd probably rustle your jimmies quite a bit

thats the Steven Adams complex :applause:

Actually Brian Cardinal averaged more than 6 rpg per 36 minutes, 6 times in his career.

His per 36 in rebounding for 2003 was 12.

Oh my mistake, I was looking at defensive rebounding.

My point stands, they're completely different players. One's a thoroughly undersized stretch forward who sucks ass, the other's a huge defensive anchor with a ton of potential. This is going to be hilarious in about 4-5 years. Hell, even next year it should be a laughable comparison.

Brian Cardinal injured Dwyane Wade in game 5.

How many people guessed correctly that the only thing that could slow Wade in this series was Brian Cardinal? Incredibly, the hip injury that Wade suffered in a first-half collision with Cardinal -- which left Wade limping gingerly and kept him off the court for five minutes in the first half and seven minutes at the start of the second -- only took him down a small notch. He still hit half his shots, continued to aggressively drive and draw contact, got to the free-throw line 12 times and efficiently ran the Heat's offense. He wasn't the same unstoppable force that he was in the first four games of this series, but with a game-high 10 fourth-quarter points, he was still arguably the best player on the floor despite the injury.

The Cardinal comparison was used because he's white.

Didn't you hear? White guys can only be compared to other white guys. As long as something is apt (position, relative height, possibly skill set), practically any white comparison is accurate.

He's also a coach's son and a hard worker!

He would have been perfect for Sloan's Utah, an low skill hustle white guy who play dirty and act like nothing happen. But at the end is just a over-glorified garbage man who happen to be in a contender otherwise none will know him.

Steven Adams is mixed and although he's a Kiwi he's not Maori. His dad is English and his mom is Tongan. People here calling him white is somewhat ironic when in NZ many Polynesians identify as black.

Interesting time to create this thread. Steven Adams is almost assured more playing time with Ibaka going down. So the probability of him achieving new heights in his career is at an all time high.
Almost 100% chance this thread backfires in the OP's face ruining his credibility on his most valued past time. Seems like an unneeded risk that will shame him and his family for the rest of their years. One day his kids will hang their heads for this. Sad deal, but it happens to simple minds. Time marches on.

He's Chris Andersen but does literally everything worse.

Steven Adams is three years younger than Chris Andersen when he entered the NBA and Adams is so much stronger. He's able to guard the post and be more physical in a way that Andersen never could.

I could see Adams in 2-3 years consistently average 10-12 points, 10-12 rebounds, get two blocks a game when given about 30 minutes a game.

That would be good production next to Ibaka and help anchor OKC's team for years to come. I doubt that KD would leave a team with RW, Ibaka, Jackson, Adams and whoever else Sam Presti sees fit to put along side of them.

I don't know, he is the kind of player you want on your side in a playoff battle. Easily able to get in your head and throw you off on your game. He is a more talented version of what Perkins did on the Celtics. I would still much rather have James Harden. but Adams is a nice piece.
