Fact and Fact. Depends upon Brothers' assignment though.

Fact as winning from 0-2 is rare.

Fiction for the Heat, in the last two playoff series with Indiana home court has been a huge advantage, they still have a couple of opportunities left after game 2.

fiction, it is entirely possible to lose 2 road games and win 2 at home.

I'm not talking about past statistics. It's just simply very hard to turn a series around like that. Even with next two at home.

Not historically in this encounter with Miami. I could also point to past occasions but it's meaningless.

Of course it happens from time to time but it doesn't happen often for a reason. Just tough mentally to come back.

Miami always bounce back when they need to...Which is why I expect them to win game 2

Fiction. They can lose game 2, but then they need to win both game 3 and 4 at home, and hope that momentum takes them to a road win.

As has been mentioned, it probably is a "must-win" game for Indi. If they want to win this series, they must protect home court as much as possible.

OK. Let me put it this way, if both the Pacers and Spurs lose game 2, how likely are they to split the next two on the road? I'm thinking (considering matchups and road record,) the Pacers: likely, Spurs: not likely (sub-50% chance.)

spurs had a historic record on the road this year... if they lost game 2 i would still be very confident they could win either game 3 or.4

fact. every teams duty when down by 1 game is to even the score. you dont want to be in a position where you have to win 2+ in a row to even the series

Other way around. Going on the road with the series split it's not something both Indy and Spurs need nor want.

No problem if Miami lose G2, means Indiana just took care of those 2 home games, but then its 2 games at Miami, series is then 2-2.... all Miami has to do is win 1 on the road...

But OKC... im not sure if they can take care of their home games as well now without Ibaka's interior D...

As a Pacers fan, I have to agree with this.

They need to win Game 2 just as bad as Game 1. Them winning game 1 doesn't speak of their chances in winning the series, it made the series a little more interesting though. You are suppose to win your first assignment at home especially since you are the top seed. Had they lost the first game, they would have been in for a disastrous rematch!

I expect Miami to come out rolling in the second game but I am still gonna call it for the Pacers by 5 points, the most!

Miami has 3 home games. If they protect home court, all they have to do is win 1 of the 3 remaining games in Indy. It doesn't have to be game 2. It can just as easily be game 5 or game 7.

True, their whole goal this year was to have HCA over Miami this year. Indiana needs to come out strong again in Gm 2 because the Heat will come at them with their A game.

If it goes 7, Indiana wins the series. Visiting teams hardly ever win game 7s. I predicted before the series started that Miami takes it in 6 but if Indy does push it to 7, it's their's.

Fiction for Miami, Fact for OKC.

I don't trust Indiana at all. At ALL. They looked very good in game 1, but I'm not just gonna shove their collapse under the rug. Miami can turn up the intensity at any time, and Indiana can slip at any time. Even if the Pacers win game 2, all they would've done is held down the fort. Miami could still win the next 2 at home and go to Indiana with a ton of momentum.

With OKC and the Spurs, it's a much different case. OKC is severely weakened without Ibaka, and the Spurs have shown no unreliability the way the Pacers have. When they're on their game, there's very little you can do. Unless Durant and Westbrook go absolutely nuts, it's going to be a mountain to climb if they lose game 2.

Game 5 is the big one.

Miami doesn't NEED to win. Losing the first two road games isn't really the end of the world, especially when you have more talent than the other team, and we all know how inconsistent Indiana is. You never know when they're gonna put up a stinker.

I think OKC is done either way. They're just not good enough to beat the Spurs. Without Ibaka, their front court is laughable. Offense is stagnant and predictable.

I would disagree.
