They're easily the most overrated team in the league. They haven't won a title in 7 years and people talk about them like they're the same dynasty they were from 1999-2007.
Duncan's prime ended in 2008 and what have the Spurs done since then? Wow they make the playoffs every year. Great accomplishment when 16 teams in a 30 team league qualify.
Joke team that will lose to the Heat again and it would be great to stop hearing about them

This is why they are the most underrated team in the league. ^^
No-one expects them to win, yet they consistently get themselves in a position to challenge for NBA championships. If it wasn't for an epic collapse they would be defending champions.

The great thing about the Spurs is how they continue to surprise and prove people wrong. I remember in 2010, after they got swept by the Suns in the 2nd round I was thinking to myself that there is no way this team wins another title, their window is closed. Here we are 4 years later and the Spurs are in a very good position to win a title WITH Duncan & Parker as their best players. If you would have told me 4 years ago that the Spurs would be in the position they are now I would have called you crazy.

You know that alot of teams never won a conference title? Or even made it out second round...
I live in france & they are definitely overrated. If my only source of basketball was french media, I would think they are the greatest team ever.

They're a bunch of senior citizens looking like a team straight out of the mid 60s clowning prime, young players and teams. They were a Jesus miracle shot away from winning it all last season and this season they look even more formidable.

Exactly.
Which is why some people claim that Jordan could be competitive at age 50.
You can continue to be successful in this league with age if you have sound fundamentals.

Dr J was easily dunking at 63, imagine him in his early 50, playing in todays league, he'd easily be competitive.

winning 50+ games every year since Duncan came into the league, including the strike season. 1 rebound away from a title. Fascinating use of underrated and cast off players

only dumb people would claim that. Wizards MJ just dragged everyone else down with his chucking. In 01-02 he had 36% usg rate (insanely high. higher than melo and kobe's highest) and 46 ts% which is horrible.
