Can People who Believe in the Illuminati Tell me Something

...I've not looked into the Illuminati much (that sort of stuff bores me). But, if it does exist, what exactly is so gravely bad about it?

I understand that the concept of the Illuminati can be frightening, and maybe if I knew more about it I'd be actively opposed to it. But why do people obsess over it so much?

i didn't know the Illuminati were into Revelations. So i guess they're the guys in movies like Rosemary's Baby, Omen, etc. that try to help the devil baby survive and take over the world?

i always thought Illuminati just referred to some secret organization conspiracy theorists thought controlled the world. i guess with Harvard having satanic worshippers anything is possible.

Islam believes that there will be great corruption in the world and that will basically be the demise of the world as we know it. We believe that the leader is/will be dajjal, aka the antichrist. It is extremely complicated to even start talking about this subject, and that is usually why I stay away from these subjects. I have my ideas, and you have yours. I do believe a group that is awaiting Dajjal's arrival does exist, and I do feel like they make the major decisions in the world, keep secrets from people, know lots of shit that we might never even sniff, and I call this group the Illuminati. The Illuminati did exist, but stopped existing officially eons ago.

The satanic lore is exaggerations created by the church in order to cast them as evil and diminish their influence. As time went on the perception of the illuminati changed and since most of it was secretive people made up their own theories as to what they were.

I think today most people associate the Illuminati with a devil worshipping cabal that wants to enslave the world.

Why are people so fascinated with them?

People believe that a small percentage of rich influential people control our lives. This small elite group of people are said to control everything from politics, media, business, banking, etc.etc.
