hypothetically with same age than duncan and replacing him:

1999: Championship easily (playing with d. robinson)
2000: he is never injured, WCF
2001: WCF
2002: WCSF
2003: Championship easily
2004: Championship not easily in the finals vs detroit
2005: Championship not easily in the finals vs detroit)
2006: Championship easily
2007: Championship easily
2008: WCF
2009: No ring, Manu injured
2010: No ring, Manu injured
2011: Championship again, no way he is scoring 12PPG in round 1 vs 8th seed.
2012: Runner Up
2013: Runner Up

Conclusion: 7 Rings. (Top 5 player ever).

Bolt: Prime Malone.

Karl Malone lost a 42 win team in the Playoffs, then some 44-46 win ones.

Now he's winning a ring with sub 40% shooting Parker and beating the Shaq/Kobe Lakers? Hilarious.

The dude made two Finals in his career (well, 3 I guess) with the second best PG ever. And he usually came up short in the postseason (decreased production throughout the Playoffs, whereas Duncan's increases).

You might want to look at the history of Malones production in the regular season vs the post season before making these kind of threads

post season with ostertag, carr, foster, freaking hornacek and byron russel or with robert horry, bowen, leonard, popovich, david robinson, manu ginobili and tony parker ?? in a weaker era....(no jordan in the finals...kidd nets)

bolt: hall of famers.

Yep, just more confirmation that you started watching basketball last year.

Duncan beat Kobe and Shaq in '03, the year where you assured Malone a ring. Malone couldn't beat a .500 team with the second best PG ever. How would he even make the Playoffs with a sub-40% shooting Parker and an 8 point, 8 rebound David Robinson?

If he could have been top 5 all time, he would never have lost to a .500 team or only made two Finals. The dude lost to Hakeem and Kenny Smith.

'96 Jazz: Stockton 11/3/11, .544 TS%; Hornacek 18/4/3, .648 TS%.

Malone 24/9/4, .498 TS%

Stacked yet Malone came up short.

'03 Spurs: Parker 15/3/3, .468 TS%; Manu 9/4/3, .522 TS%

Duncan 25/15/5, .577 TS%

Zero chance of Spurs winning it all in 03. The maker of this thread has serious brain damage.

so what.

Malone lost to one HoFer. Duncan beat two of them.

Duncan > Malone. Hornacek put up 18 PPG on .659 TS% in '96. Yet Malone still came up short. Duncan won 4 times. That alone makes up for any mishaps. When did Malone make up for this:

Ha, weakest comeback ever. Try harder troll.

Malone with HoF talent: loss to a .500 team.

Stop lying to yourself.
