F*ck the Cavs. I was looking forward to seeing Wiggins shine on his own squad...now he's likely gonna have to fit in with a bunch of chuckers and mismatched talent.

Over the last several years they've now had 3 1st picks.
Last two were back to back first picks. I've never seen that.

I'm totally fine with the 2nd pick considering there's a legit big 3 in this draft...but Philly and Orlando should be PISSED.
How much longer is that garbage franchise going to be babied for losing Lebron? Seriously, it's incompetence after incompetence with that franchise, and they've gotten their dick sucked for it for 4 years now.
They surround a generational all-time great with trash for 7 years...lose him. Get 3 top 4 picks in back-to-back-to-back drafts (with 2 #1 overall picks), and STILL suck.
And now a 3rd #1 pick? This is just absurd.

The most important pick the Cavs have made post-LeBron came from an incredible trade the franchise pulled off prior to the draft. Of course, they get no points for that. No one ever brings it up.
This is the second time in the last 20+ years that the Cavs' own pick ended up being higher than its initial projection. It has happened twice.

Something needs to happen with the lottery system after this year. Hopefully Bill Simmons and other media members continue to clown them. That's all the really needs to be said and any sane person realizes Cleveland winning the lottery this year is complete and utter bullshit.
I have ZERO bias towards the Eastern Conference sans the Knicks maybe and the Nuggets had basically no chance at the top 3 but Cleveland winning the lotto is legit annoying.
4 1st overall pick since 2002, mindblowing. 2 1st overalls and still can't crack the Eastern Conference playoffs and they get another. If the Cavs miss the playoffs next season I just don't know what I'll do :lol

Yes, hopefully Bill f#cking Simmons -- the most biased sports "journalist" in the country -- will lead a crusade against the evil lottery. It certainly would be appropriate, on the day when he published an article telling the world the Celtics should get bumped up to the No. 2 overall pick based on "karma."
He's not biased in the least. The league should definitely heed his warnings.
I was as shocked as anyone that the Cavs won the lottery again with a 1% chance. This overreaction is just completely over-the-top, though. Once again, the Cavs' pick has now fallen ahead of its projection twice in the last 20+ years.

Who said crusade? What are you talking about? I said hopefully Bill Simmons and other media members continue to clown the Cavs and the bullshit lottery system. I used Bill Simmons because he openly was mindblown like most sane and rational individuals when it happened, or did you not watch the lottery?
I don't care about any of the other nonsense, were talking about the lottery. Bill Simmons = media member = outlet for sports fans to hear/listen. If people in the media continue to discuss it and spreads maybe the NBA eventually looks at it years from now. System blows right down to doing things behind closed doors.
He's not biased in the least. The league should definitely heed his warnings.
So in other words you just really like to talk about Bill Simmons huh :oldlol:

Not really over the top. Cavaliers have had multiple 1st overall picks. Become the laughing stock of the sports world when LeBron bends them over on TV, gifted Irving .. another 1st overall pick. Attempt to be successful and fail and move from 9th to 1st overall? You don't see anything wrong with the system. Atleast let the shitty teams that tanked grab some talent, not Cleveland.
Yet, I should be apologizing for it? F#ck all of you whining babies.
Whining babies? I specifically remember your meltdown after the LeBron situation. Same guy who said he wouldn't be a Cavs fan if LeBron did ever come back in FA too.
Nobody's asking you to apologize, are you serious? asking you to say sorry over the NBA draft lottery? :oldlol: Nobody will even care in a few hours. Incredibly spoiled with draft picks tho, and rather not see teams that are gifted 1st overall picks enjoy success.

I'm not even complaining about rigging as much as I am the system. Tanking sucks and obviously it's tough to reward it but I'd rather a team like Philly who purposely sucked get more talent as there roster is way more depleted than a team like Cleveland getting another 1st overall pick.
Cleveland potentially get's a crazy good team from dumb blind "luck" that they had no business getting.

Why use reason when you can talk about how much Cleveland sucks?
People are completely raging after a team benefits from pure chance. It's backlash as if the Cavs did something wrong, here. They went all out in an effort to make the playoffs. People usually rage about tanking. That's exactly the opposite of what Cleveland did this season.
The numbers ended up coming out in their favor... and suddenly the franchise is public enemy No. 1.

Most teams were probably glad not to get the No. 1 pick last year. That was a hell of a lot of scrutiny AB had to deal with, when guys picked right after him like McLemore, Len and Porter sucked just as hard, if not harder.
