He's a TV actor. He does not have the presence to fill up the big screen, so instead he tries to compensate by over-acting.

He only got this role because he cashed in on his post-Breaking Bad popularity.

He only got this role because he cashed in on his post-Breaking Bad popularity.

His performances have ranged from average to above average in films for the most part so far. Was good in Godzilla (by far the best acting in that movie), Argo, Drive, Lincoln Lawyer, and Contagion. Only time he was below average was Total Recall, but that movie was shit all around.
