Basically, MKG is a net positive on the court. He is putting up almost elite defensive numbers at 20 years old. If he can make some offensive improvements over the next 3-4 years of his development, we're looking at a very very good player.

Remember, MKG is 20 years old and is locking down fully grown men. The jump shot may never be completely there, but the rest of his game will continue to develop.

HUGE offensive liability. Which matters. Tired of this "defense wins championships" thing. Yes it does, but so does offense. The goal of the game is two fold, stop them from scoring and score yourself.

A guy with great defensive potential, but really needs to work on his shooting. On the plus side, it's probably easier to teach a guy to shoot at a decent clip than teach someone like Harden to play defense.

A lot of us are looking at his shot and just thinking WTF. But he probably started shooting that way for some reason when he was really young, habits like that are hard to break.

Well there are also players with good offense who are terrible on D.

It's a shame he's one of those players who can't shoot, just doesn't have it in his body and mind.

If nothing else the Hornets at least have a defensive specialist with him. If they can put some more offense into the starting line up they can hide him on that end for now.

The fact that he's made the pros as a lottery pick (don't think he should have been 2 FWIW) with a shot that broken speaks to his skill as a defender.
