Utah Jazz guard Trey Burke has been named to the 2013-14 All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced today. Burke becomes the ninth player in Jazz franchise history to be named to an NBA All-Rookie Team, and the sixth to be selected to the First Team.
Burke (6-1, 190, Michigan) averaged 12.8 points, a team-leading 5.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 70 games (68 starts) during his rookie campaign and was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month three times (December, January and April), becoming the first Jazz player to win multiple Rookie of the Month awards. Burke also registered 12 games with 20-plus points, and handed out 10 or more assists on seven occasions. During NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, he was also selected to the 2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge and won the 2014 Taco Bell Skills Challenge. Burke finished third in 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the Year balloting.
