Dante Exum at #4. He can be their new Penny Hardaway. The Magic need a new PG since Jameer Nelson is getting old.

At 12 they should pick Doug McDermott or James Young

The Magic could potentially have a lineup of
PG: Exum
SG: Oladipo
SF: McDermott or James Young
PF: Harris
C: Vucevic

They should just ask who the Lakers want in a few years to get their answer.

Clyde
05-22-2014, 05:48 PM
the answer at 12 is Adrien Payne (if he's still there)

He's as NBA ready as you'll find in this draft.

**** off with all the Doug Mcdermott/lavine stuff....that ain't happening

We only lost Shaq, we traded Dwight there for pieces and Dwight didn't even want to go there, and left anyway.

Bottom line is, nobody wants to play in Orlando as long as Jameer is a fan of theirs.

I'd take randle and Gary Harris if he fall to 12

I haven't seen anything but youtube highlights of Exum, and even at that I'm not overly impressed.

That being said Randle is appears to be a complete defensive liability (less than 1 stl and less then 1 blk per game), and todays NBA is so perimeter orientated it ridiculous.

they should consult with the lakers about who to choose

Well who do you want with the fourth pick?

Clyde
05-22-2014, 06:40 PM
Frankly if you draft Exum you pray that a 6'6 pg with 6'10 wingspan pans out talent wise.

It's a gamble, but the measurable seem to be there.

...where as Randle seems undersized for a PF. (6'8 250lbs)

I don't want to take some unproven kid, how is he ranked so high in the first place anyway. I doubt the Magic will draft someone who has barely been tested.

assuming the "big 3" are gone, you'd have to take Exum and pray he turns out.

It's really not different from drafting a euro. You have film, and scouting and hopefully a workout or two.

The NBA more than any league is all about potential in the draft...probably because these kids are so young, but that rant is for another thread

if we draft exum, just pray he doesn't go all Fran Vasquez on us. (which i doubt he will)

I don't understand this logic, so a player is useless if he can't lead a team to the playoffs all by himself?

That's the kind of logic that leads to your organization trading a championship caliber starter for Brian fcking Cook

Imagine Ariza in place of Courtney Lee..

Thanks for repeating what I had already said

Traded for Brian Cook and Maurice Evans, yiiiikes.

Crazy to think that trade (which at the time seemed irrelevant )honestly might have cost Orlando a title while helping LA win it. Ariza was huge in the playoffs and made some monster defensive plays against Denver and seemed to cash every 3 he took all playoffs. I still believe that if he's healthy in 08 we probably win a title.

You say Lee is a reason you lost but then say that trading away the guy who would have/should have been starting for Lee doesn't matter

You can't even follow your own logic.

And yes Jammeer please tell us how the refs favored LA when Orlando (a 3pt shooting team) shot more free throws than LA (an inside team)

Orlando shot 115 three pointers and had 139 FTA

LA shot 86 three pointers and had 120 FTA

Yet it was LA who was favored

Shut the hell up and stop giving magic fans a bad name.

probably because the magic have the player the attempts the most freethrows every year you dumb f*ck. Dwight had 58 FTA in that series alone.

And how does that help your argument that LA was favored?

Dwight averaged 10.7 FTA per game in the 09 regular season and averaged 11.6 FTA in the 09 finals..

And somehow that means LA was favored

#4: Julius Randle

#12: Trade to Phoenix, along with a 2016 Second, for #14, #27 & #50.

Kyle Anderson with 14, Jordan Adams with 27 and James McAdoo at 50.

Find a taker for Arron, and tank it up again with a starting unit of Kyle-Dipo-Harris-Randle-Vuc and a bench consisting of Adams-Harkless-Nicholson.

Didn't envision them falling out the top 3.

I'd say Exum and McBuckets. The thing about Exum though, do we really know his projected value? Rubio was supposed to be this valiant player, and though he's an elite passer and great in the passing lanes, he is far from what analysts perceived from his international play.

But I'm not sold on Randle either, so I guess Exum. Plus, they need to replace Jameer.

Man. Pairing Embiid with Vucevic would have been epic...
