Resume
Human resource requires professional skills and great communication. Good luck.

Start off with a short email expressing your enthusiasm working for the company. Wait for a reply, then send a resume if you are being asked for it. If they don't ask and tell you to apply, just go to the office and apply. Believe it or not, a willingness to work there speaks in high volume of your potential. Most companies will overlook experience and education since they train from within. Attitude is the most important thing.

Not necessarily. Most applicants don't express their enthusiasm for working at the company. When I applied for my job, in the corner I put down "I am willing to do whatever it takes to get this job." Little did I know that simple small remark allowed me to be ahead of hundreds of applicants with far more experience and education. All big companies will have training procedures in place and they are fully aware they can get any bum off the street and train him to do the job. I'm not saying education and experience does not matter; what I'm saying is the willingness to want that job will put the applicant above the rest.

Good advice here.
In addition, rather than asking HR "yo so you got jobs?" I'd take a look to browse the site of the company. 99% of companies have a "careers" section so you should be able to find a few positions that match your interest, and your skills/abilities. Email the HR person that you are particularly interested in the _____ jobs listed on their site. It'll show you've done your homework and make sure you sound enthusiastic like Rambo says.
Also, ask your friend if he/she is OK with you referencing them in the email like "Dear HR Director,
Your contact information was referred to me by [My friend], and I am writing to express my interest in ____ position"
because a namedrop can go a long way. Especially if the HR person knows your friend.

This should work well enough, presuming you are applying to be a garbage man.
They're just going to tell you to check the company's website.

Sure, but change that second sentence. The company doesn't care about how much you love the field, as much as they care how much you love the COMPANY. Exaggerage if you need to, tell them how great they are, they are a leader in the field, and its specifically their company you want to work for.
I see you reference that in the next line, but "eager to join such a great company like this one" no, you want to say
"eager to join YOUR great company" which is great because _____.
The distinction is small, but it is important.

First search online for specific job openings. That way you can include in the email "I am interested in the XYZ role and would love to be employed by company XYZ" Make the first introductory email detailed but short. This will lead to the HR representative replying back with more information about possibly filling out applications, interviews and so on and so fourth. Good Luck though.

More passion. You sound like a robot. You want to dig deep into the soul of the person reading this.

Dear (insert name here),
I had the opportunity to speak with (insert name here first and last) about their positive experience being a part of (insert company name). I am interested in learning more about the (insert job title) position at your company. I've attached my resume (attach a PDF file, not some ghetto word doc) for you to look over at your convenience.
Is there a good time I can call to learn more about the department, responsibilities, and best way to get noticed for this position?
I can be reached either through this email, or on that phone at (415)xxx-xxxx.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Kobe Bryant

True story, companies are slowly trying to phase out the "Human Resources" title for "Human Capitol"

Dear (insert name here),
I had the opportunity to rape (insert name here first and last) in one of the rooms at Hotel (insert company name). I am interested in learning more about forensic evidence and DNA testing. I've attached my bank statements (attach a PDF file, not some ghetto word doc) for you to look over when considering my exoneration.
Is there a good time I can call to learn more about the other female staff members, their phone numbers, home addresses and so forth, and best way to get them alone in a room?
I can be reached either through this email, or on my private cell at (818)xxx-xxxx.
I look forward to my next trip to Denver,
