But all his shit sounds generic and the same. No originality, just a rehashing of other pop/dance producers/artists. Just follow the same formula and ta-da!

Yeah there are a quite a few pop producers that are really successful and stupid rich. We usually think of rap when we think about producers but pop is the big leagues.

A lot of producers are going to sound similar if you play their songs in a row like that, the familiarity usually helps develop an artists career. But yeah that bass drum and cymbal/crash/open high-hat or whatever that is combo gets annoying though.
