It feels like the past superstars for each team are mentoring the new ones (ex: Malones mentoring the Jazz bigs), so this seems like a no brainer. He got honored by them, so the least he can do is train their PG of the future.
Imagine MCW with Iverson handles with Noel + Wiggins/Parker to pass to
Forced mentorships are stupid doe.
Im so nba'd out

Iverson was a SG and MCW shot way too much this year to begin with. Something tells me Bret Browns coaching staff has this under control. Iverson didn't wanna practice when he played there what makes you think he wants to train someone hahaha

Thats the most ignorant thing anyone can ever say. Iverson DID PRACTISE AND HE DID WANT TO PRACTISE.
He only said that because the reporter was talking to him about practise instead of the actual game. Get your shyt straight.

I've had some major hate against Iverson on this board, you can ask anyone, but Iverson had a lot of heart. That's what was at the core of making Iverson a great player...his heart. You can't mentor that to someone. It would be useless for him to mentor MCW to me.

Ok here's a news flash for you. After Iverson was gone and Billy King had left Philly he did a great very candid interview on 610 about being GM and having to kind of handle Larry Brown and AI. He said that Iverson missed practice consistently and that it was always a problem for him and Larry Brown. In addition, he said that in the last few years there he literally almost never practiced. Literally almost never. I'm from here and I've listened to WIP since it was an AM music station in the 70s. I don't know where you're from but it's not here and it's you sir who needs to get his shyt straight. So no, what I said wasn't ignorant, it was informed by Billy King. In addition, one of my friends played on that team with him in his last few years and confirmed that as well.

its funny that you mention that because we knocked your garbage team out of the playoffs that same year

Vince Carter (r.) and the Raptors begin the Knicks playoff torture back on May 2, 2001. Latrell Sprewell can't stop 'Vinsanity' here.
The New York Knicks have not won a playoff game in quite some time.
In fact, it's been over 11 years - and 12 games - since their last postseason victory.
Here is a brief look at the losing streak:
1. May 2, 2001
Raptors 100, Knicks 93
With Knicks looking to win first-round series in Game 4, they have no answer for Vince Carter, who scores 32 points in Toronto.
2. May 4, 2001
Raptors 93, Knicks 89
Long before Linsanity hits Garden, Vin-sanity leaves its mark, as Carter eliminates Knicks with 27 points in 93-89 Game 5 win.

I wanna refresh your memory a little more. That press conference was a season ending press conference a few days after Philly was bounced by Boston I think. They were talking about practice because in that press conference, before Iverson spoke, Larry Brown said that Iverson needed to start practicing more and harder to set an example. So "the reporter" who happened to be Phil Jasner (to whom Iverson referred at "PHILIP" at one point), was asking Iverson about what Larry Brown had just said about him. Now is what I said still "the most ignorant thing anyone can ever say"? Do you want me to keep making a fool out of you or will you just continue to do it yourself?

Iverson in MCW's body is honestly the GOAT
Iverson can't teach heart, he can't teach being a tough S.O.B.. they already changed the rules of the league in an attempt to take away Iverson's best moves
what can Iverson teach him

The thing MCW needs to work on most is his shooting.
Is AI really the guy for that?

AI wasn't really a bad shooter, he just took bad shots a lot of times. He'd take them when he was double teamed etc, late in the shot clock. He was a good shooter tho and he was a good FT shooter.
