I think if he can stay healthy, he'll be the only future star out of him/Parker/Wiggins. Definitely worthy of the number one pick if his medical records check out.

If Cleveland don't pick him they're doomed.

These dude playing at 75% will have more of an impact than Wiggins or Parker.

Always take the big.

His ceiling is by far the highest out of anyone in the draft. His build and style is almost reminiscent of Hakeem. You don't pass on that.

holy freaking shit.
he already has most of the important moves for an offensive Center in his reportoire. also midrange game and step back jumper and plenty athletic.:biggums: :biggums:
hes a natural talent if i ever saw one.
probably the best prospect since LeBron:bowdown:

on top of his size, athletic ability, defense, and offensive repertoire...

he has GREAT INTANGIBLES...

I think Davis was a better prospect then Embiid, Parker, and Wiggins, but I think Embiid really has a shot to be more impactful then Davis.

Dude looks like the real deal. The skills are there already, and after a few years of NBA training plus PEDs he'll be just unreal physically. Just remember how skinny young Dwight actually was...

...Embiid appears to be more skilled than Howard will ever be already. If he's staying healthy and adds some more muscle, he'll be just scary. Clear #1 pick to me. Stepback jumpers and hooks with both hands at his age, combined with very good and potentially great athleticism? Just ridiculous for a big man in today's league.

nope. his attitude, not showing up vs. good teams, and lack of defensive ability will keep him from that.

embiid obviously has shown a lot of that in the game, but that kind of videos doesn't say much. even if it has some unheard of before type of a big guy, it seems like he's got all the moves in the post and is going to be a beast in the nba.

From David Aldridge a few days ago.

"Among the hardest of hardball moves is currently playing out courtesy of Arn Tellem. The NBA's premier player agent represents Embiid, the 7-foot-1 freshman center from Kansas who could well be the top pick overall.

But Embiid did not take part in last week's pre-Draft camp in Chicago. And, not only did he not participate, he didn't make his medical records available.

This is a problem, as Embiid missed the end of the Jayhawks' season after suffering a stress fracture in his back. You can't come up with five more terrifying words for NBA executives than "stress fracture in his back," even for a 20-year-old who is still scratching the surface of his potential after learning the game by watching Hakeem Olajuwon DVDs in his native Cameroon.

http://www.nba.com/news/features/david_aldridge/david-aldridges-big-board-centers-2014-draft/

Refusing to submit medical records is a huge deal. If there was nothing to hide then they would've submitted them.

Nothing really impressive in that video. No defense is being played against him.

my guess is the work outs could be more stressful. He needs to provide his medical records to be a number 1 pick. Cleveland could use his size and position better than parker/ wiggins unless wiggins can play the two.

I agree Cavs could use his size, but too many other top prospects to choose from instead of taking a chance on Embiid.

Cavs can't afford to screw this pick up. Go with a guy who's not already had a stress fracture in his back

Embiid, of course, had a back injury this season and one last season in high school, involving a stress fracture. Embiid’s agent, Arn Tellem, hasn’t let him be examined by any team doctors but that was a strategy aimed at staying out of Milwaukee, had the Bucks drawn No. 1.

A source tells Forbes.com that Tellem has had Embiid checked out by a back specialist who cleared him. Tellem is expected to make Embiid’s records available to the Cavaliers and let their doctor examine him.

He's ours man.

J-Val and Drummond aren't in same conversation as Embiid prospect wise.

If Cleveland does draft him, they have to move the front court around. Maybe trade Varejao (last year of his contract). And they need to take care of that SF spot. Maybe through free agency? I think the Cavs have $15 million to spend on free agency...they might be able to bring Deng back? I wouldn't be against that, I love the type of player he is and I like what he did playing on a bummed achilles the whole season pretty much. I felt he wasn't utiltize as well on offense as he could be, but I think his is partly becuase of the Mike Brown offensively philosophy. Evan Turner will be a restricted free agent. Danny Granger has a player option. Gordon Hayward is another great option. He's restricted though. Trevor Ariza is unrestricted.
