Spurs are actually fun to watch now. I don't think perception will change unless the entire team is revamped and they get some new exciting superstar.

4 of the 5 from one series.

Also, if you read the actual article instead of posting a graphic with no context...[I]Despite the lower numbers, the game was the #4 program of the night on television among adults 18-49 (2.2). Only the finales of American Idol (2.6), Survivor (2.6) and ABC

4 of them involve the Grizzlies, so maybe the real culprit is...

It was mainly the quality of those games. Memphis was a terrible matcup and the Thunder were blown out.

Though I agree, the Spurs are probably the least viewed of the great teams in NBA history. Shame. People are missing out.

Grizzlies also give very low ratings.
Funny how everyone hate the EC, but when you look at the ratings, the EC ratings have been better than WC ratings the past 3 years.

The 2 least-viewed finals series ever was in 2003 and 2007 with the spurs!

The thread is not about 1 game, but the low ratings that Spurs have been giving.
Well, at least we can conclude that ratings don't mean shit, since the Spurs are by far the most enjoyable team in the league.

The thread is about hating on the Spurs and trolling gullible posters, not assessing television ratings in any objective way. :lol

''Enjoying'' is subjective. They are the most enjoyable team for you, but for the majority for the viewers, they are not. The only thing that we can conclude is that most of the viewers dont enjoy the Spurs that much.

Casual fans you mean? Sure, that's why I just said in my previous post.

Does the NBA revenue fluctuates based on TV viewing, or is the contract already signed, and it's up to the TV to do the promotion.

Define casual fans. What's the difference between a casual and a "real" fan.

Any NBA team that draws the fourth most viewers mid-week when going up against historically strong network programming season finales > all others.

If you're a real fan (or a purist) about the game of basketball, you watch them play. If you want dunks, or iso's, you're basically a Heat fan (read: a casual fan).

you are not a real fan then because you dont even know that Miami rarely runs iso plays.
