When was the last time 1-6+ turned out to be great or even good players? I'm talking at least an all-star selection.

Embiid
Wiggins
Parker
Exum
Randle
Vonleh
Smart
Gordon

Who will never pan out? :confusedshrug:

I'm going Vonleh and Smart, at least

I honestly think Wiggins' ceiling is Melo.

Which wouldn't make him anywhere near a bust, nor does he play like him at all.

I honestly think Wiggins' ceiling is Melo.
His game resembles Dominique Wilkins much more than Melo. I think that's his ceiling. He's going to have to put in serious work to get there, though.

Wiggins and Parker both bust, but the hype is so high on Wiggins it will take fans 2-3 seasons to admit that he is a bust. He will get the benefit of the doubt because he will occasionally throw down a nasty dunk.

Embiid will be a star barring injury.

I can say that with certainty.

Also, honestly, everyone on that list with the exception of McDermott and Embiid and Parker to a degree are lacking a lot of real basketball skills. Pretty much everyone else is young and has potential. Almost every player on that list could be a bust. Wiggins? I want him on the Sixers for sure but he could be a monumental bust. He has very little skill offensively. Smart? Can't shoot, is a little short, is not a pure pointguard. Vonleh? He's full of potential but could bust. Randle? He can only go one way and who knows if that's gonna fly in the league. Exum is a total unknown. Don't get me wrong, all of them can develop and be really good players but we all know that won't happen. We'll all be kicking ourselves three years from now for liking at least one of these dudes.

Parker remind me a bit of allan Houston, with his pull game and shooting. even his drives look eerily similar.

I change my busts to

Wiggins only.

Parker has good footwork that should translate well to the NBA, with an inside/outside game.

Wiggins reminds me of Rudy Gay. :(

Parker plays the same way Allan Houston plays like the same way Shaq played like Bargnani. Parker is the next Big Dog Robinson.

I think Wiggins will be a bust in terms of people's expectations for him. I think Embiid will be a star, Parker a good player, Wiggins meh.

Go watch highlights of Jabari's catch and shoot game, then watch highlights of Houston's catch and shoot game. Using their strong frame to get to the hole, mid range game looks the same.

Difference I see between Houston and Jabari, Jabari positions himself lower on the block to post up, has quicker feet and bodies his way to the hole more. Same with Carmelo, he positions himself higher on the block to post up, Jabari gets a bit deeper. Jabari's long strides to the basket Carmelo and Allan Houston like.

Jabari is more explosive than both Houston and Carmelo, also has really good handles in the open court and finishes.

I also like the Dominique Wilkins comparison, Jabari's explosion to a tommyhawk dunk looks very Nique like

c'mon homie , u better than that.human highlight was easily on another level than wiggins all thruout his career in high school, college and I'm pretty sure going thru in the pros.their play style is way different on just how they approach the game.nique had that killer instinct to break ur will and attack ..attack..he had a high motor and was not passive .only thing they got same is the hops.pro career 25/7/3 guy ..

A smarter/more defensively focused Rudy Gay is a perennial all star

When Melo is cranking out two handed dunks off the vert in dudes faces please lemme kno. I honestly don't see that and I'm 42 and actually saw Nique play not YouTube like most around here.

I'm obviously not talking about the dunking. I mean that they were both elite scorers with questionable defense. Wiggins ain't that. I also haven't seen Wiggins cranking out two handed dunks in anyone's face either.

I'm surprised that so many people think Jabari is a sure thing.

I was a fan of his last year and he has a great scoring skillset, but what position can he guard? Slow SFs and small PFs? Are we that sure his scoring will translate to the pros?

Gordon and Smart.

I agree with Gordon and Smart.

Smart is a less athletic Westbrook with a worse shot and twice as big as a moron/headcase. He'll never be a top 15 PG.

Gordon just can't create his own shot at all, you aren't going to be a relevant player in the league without being able to do that unless you're a 7'0 rim protector.

I can see McDermott being a 'bust' but nobody expects him to be a star. He'll be a solid role player for a long time.

Exum also has big time bust potential, he's never really competed on a high level so it's really hard to judge his actual talent. I think he'll be a good player though.

His defense isn't a big deal, Harden is probably the worst defender in the whole league and he's about to be 1st team all-NBA.

Randle I think will bust hard.
Wiggins will be a good player, but not a perennial all star people think he will be. Just a nice player.
Embiid if he has health issues. Otherwise he should become a solid player.
I think McDermott will outlast some of these hyped guys coming out of this draft. He will not be an All Star, but a solid player that could have a long career. Depending where he's drafted he will have early success. I don't see a strong rookie year, but a long solid career..unless he has health issues.
Some of the other guys are all being drafted on potential...and that is a bigger gamble than drafting a guy that is ready to play right away. Some of these guys will be bust..others quality players. More being the former not the latter.
Parker will do just fine.

McDermott will be as good as his teammates and organization allow him to be.

Black players, IMO, sometimes sabotage white players because they want basketball all to themselves. It's up to the organization to disallow that kind of treatment.
