So the last time I was heavily into hip-hop albums was maybe around 2007/2008. Blu & Exile - Below the Heavens and Lupe Fiasco - The Cool were the last albums I knew almost every word to.
In the following years I listened to less and less and kind of lost track.
Over the past two years the only albums I've listened to are the people I was told would carry the genre forward...J. Cole, and Kendrick. Kendrick's album was great but J Cole has dissapointed me.
What are the best albums over the past two years? Who is running the underground scene and who in the mainstream actually has good albums?

Kendrick Lamar was the last really nice album that came out.
J. cole gets hyped to bring out an okay album at best.
And idk about you guys but kanye's yeezus is odd
Mac miller's wmwtso shows his improvement, ya either like it or hate it.
Schoolboy q's album has some radio hits on it.
