How would this team do vs this stacked Miami squad?:

PG: Lance Stephenson
SG: Paul George
SF: Kawhi Leonard
PF: David West
C: Roy Hibbert

How would this team do vs this stacked Miami squad?:

PG: Kyle Lowery or Darren Colison
SG: Paul George
SF: Kawhi Leonard
PF: David West
C: Roy Hibbert
it would be more like this and that team would be 10x better than the pacers in our dimension....well the one with kyle lowery would be better

Heat in 3. Maybe even 2 if the refs stop plotting against them.

Here's a good rule: if the Spurs offer you a trade, reject it. They're going to be pulling your pants down in the long run.

George Hill was a lot better last yr and two years ago. So they were better off with him for those two years.

But yeah this year Kawhi has made them regret the trade. But you could also say that Stephenson wouldn't have had the opportunity to shine if Kawhi was there. Or maybe even Paul George too.

they would almost have too many talented wing players but with stephenson potentially leaving this offseason it would be far better for them in the long run

plus even though they'd still have no PG always having two of Kawhi, George, and Stephenson matched up vs LeBron and Wade on defense sounds badass.

I think that Leonard would have developed fine, although probably wouldn't be as good as he is now if were still a Pacer. It appears Brian Shaw and the coaches worked *hard* with young guys to develop them. He also held them accountable (his departure may be a reason for why there have been so many player spats). They could have gotten a different PG in past couple years (imagine if they signed Dragic a couple years ago). Defensively, they'd be just as solid with Leonard (vs. Hill) and with Lance in a 6th man role, their bench would be better most likely and I feel they'd be less turnover-prone versus MIA. This is because a real point guard would be better at taking care of the rock and make headier decisions. Sure, Lance wouldn't be as good with less minutes (would have less burn to develop), but as a dude coming off the bench, he'd be just fine for that.

It seems Pacers tend to get burned on trades recently (Hill-Leonard, Scola, Granger, etc.).

Shit and imagine if they didn't trade for Scola or Turner either

PG: Lance Stephenson, CJ Watson
SG: Paul George, Gerald Green
SF: Kawhi Leonard, Danny Granger
PF: David West, Danny Granger (since Heat go small)
C: Roy Hibbert, Miles Plumlee

Damn, Pacers should have just hung onto what they had instead of overreacting and making stupid moves.

It's the same principle when trading with the Lakers.

Yet, teams still are stupid enough to trade with these teams :lol

Who's to say Leonard would have developed the way he did under Pacers management?

Spurs are largely responsible for Leonards development.

Lets see.. we have Hill for Leonard,

And then...

Bynum, Turner, Granger?

Nobody likes to wreck potentially great teams like the Pacers upper management.:confusedshrug:

Who would've even said he would be playing for the pacers? Pacers would probably draft someone else? Was it pacers idea to draft him and trade after or was it spurs idea to draft him?

If that trade never happened, Kawhi wouldn't be as good as he is now.

True, but pacers have done a fine job developing talent themselves

Leonard would have never developed into the player he is by staying in Indiana. The Spurs helped him be what he is today.
