His shooting form seem a little off to me. He tends to put the ball over his head and hold it before releasing it. I hope he fix that.

Why is everybody saying this? He seems like a very coachable kid. No attitude problem and he is wiling to improve his game. He will get there maybe not become an elite defender but he will figure it out. I get it big men over wing players but Jabari is the best player. Wiggins is massively overrated.

People always bring this up. Jabari played the 5 position for Duke 80% of the season. Playing against guys bigger and stronger takes a toil on you. Despite this, Parker became the best post player and best rebounder in the ACC.

We just had Bosh coming out saying that he doesn't want to bang in the post because it takes a huge toll on him.

Even Darko looked good enough to take #2 in a similar workout session. I cant tell much from these workouts. I look at game film and go by that. Then read people who dissect game film in depth. All Jabari did was work out in a gym by himself basically. How hard is that? :confusedshrug:

Make note this applies to all prospect videos like this I've seen. And I'm not at all sour on Parker. I'd happily welcome him here in Philly. Kid knows how to score and that step back jumper is gonna win him some games ala Pierce.

Parker defense is a concern. Effort moreso than the fact he wont upgrade lateral quickness overnight. But there have been teams that rated high defensively, were considered defensive minded and had people like Parker on their team.

See Chicago Bulls with Boozer and Rose.

You can surround Parker with defenders and the fact he isnt first or second team all defense matters none. Not excusing him from ever improving as a defender. That'll take time and coaching. But is it a deal breaker? No, not unless you are deciding between Parker and Wiggins whom has the most upside as a defender between the two. Speaking from a Sixers perspective that is since we have Noel (Noah, Chandler type defender).
