Let's talk about a player once known only for dunking developing into a full-fledged MVP candidate and superstar.

Are you surprised? Impressed? In awe? Mesmerized?

What are your expectations of him going forward? Can he take his game to an even higher level next season? He certainly has all the tools and the work ethic to do so.

You have to fall in love with the process of becoming great, and Blake is head over heels.

P.S. Dunking is still pretty cool.

He was elite this season, and would be in the WCF if not for an epic choke by CP3

Great player

Lacks killer instinct.

Impressed with his development as a player though

Ibaka made him look like a bitch. I think Blake could own him but for some reason Ibaka is in his head

He improved by leaps and bounds this year. It will be very interesting to see his career unfold.

He got destroyed by Ibaka. Him and Jordan costed CP3 a shot at a ring. They're young though. His playoff play is underwhelming honestly.

I am impressed. The sign of a great player is their ability to expand their game each year. Blake has gone just being a great dunker to being a decent shooter from the mid-range, decent passer, and handles the rock well. I am impressed with the way he is playing each season.

Like Harden's wasn't.

I was very impressed by his improvements this season. Honestly, I never expected him to develop such a nasty jumper this soon. I'm not one of those people with an irrational hatred of him, but I didn't expect him to progress into a top 3 MVP candidate this soon. He's gonna be a dangerous player down the road.

Now that he's just about arrived as a true star PF, the expectations better come with it. I think he needs an MVP or two, but most importantly, no more 2nd round exits. If the Spurs win it all, Duncan/Manu/Pop retire and the Spurs are done as a contender. That leaves OKC as the only team standing in their way of the Finals. And with the depth of talent and coaching they have, they have no excuse for not making at least 1 Finals series in the next 3-4 years. You could make the case that they should win it all at least once. CP3/Blake/DJ with Doc and a terrific set of role players can be a championship team..if they don't ever win it all, that's a failure.

And Griffin had two good games max the entire series and played bad D.

He's primed to be a top 5 player in the league and perennial MVP candidate for the next 7 or 8 years. He needs to keep working hard on different parts of his game, (read DEFENSE) in the offseason but he has definitely 'arrived'.

-He has a oddly shaped face and his eyes are too close together.

-He has toned down his flopping but still does mild flops every once and a while.

-I like that he improved his jumper making teams pay for leaving him open.

-He has great commercials.

-He loves to grab a hold of guys and not let go whether its an opponents legs, arms or even chest dude loves to hold men.He does that and when the other guy trys to get him off blake looks for the ref for help.

-Serge for some reason loves touching his balls

-He has great dunks

-I think hes nearing his ceiling if not has already hit it.

Just my opinions

He's got to be a top 5 ginger athlete of all time. Bill Walton, Boris Becker, Sonny Jurgensen... Who else?

Oh, Shaun White I guess. That's 4.

LOL he is much further from that than you might think. He regressed to the mean throughout the year. He just went through a stretch for a month without Chris Paul where he was shooting 30 shots to score 30 points and was turning the ball over a ton and people started to think he developed into a great player.

He got marginally better at the midrange jumper and he's at best, adequate at it. Anthony Davis is already a better midrange shooter than him and he's not even great. Plus he needs to find his old physical self that was coming out of OU because he's regressed alot on the boards. I'm not even a "hater"of his but people think Chris Paul had Charles Barkley on his team or something and that is definitely not the case.

Blake's improved his game a shit-ton since being just a dunker. Hitting jis jumpshots, working on his post moves, and strengthening up. He's still got room to grow IMO and the Clippers will be legit contenders next season because they'll have some extra time to gel before the post season.

he needs to get rid of that cancer Chris Paul. His attitude rubbed off on Blake a bit too much causing him to play dirty, flopping, complaining, bltchmade style of basketball.

Blake will thrive without that little flopping choker fakkit

I really like his competitive drive and dedication to the game.

Other than the flopping, I like him as a player and person.

Paul is the reason they lost.

He made big improvement this year.

Next year I think he goes to next level as I think his jumper will be something you can't let him take anymore.

Blake Griffin is a regular season player, always was and always will be. His playoffs production never matches his regular season performance, the reason he even had a good series against the Warriors was that the latter was similar to a run and gun team that plays little defense.

Funny post, not sure if serious. I think some of Chris Paul did rub off on him, and he's quickly learned vet tricks. About the flopping..he doesn't flop that much..at least anymore. He's not at the Lebron, Harden, Wade, Tony Allen, etc level.
He's always had a great work ethic so expect him to continue to improve. He's a PF more in the strain of a Karl Malone than a Kevin Garnett. Strong compact build. Not long or a shot blocker. His jumper will be automatic one day. Something not many people mention is how he improved as a FT shooter. What a big jump. He's always had that really high motor and he just brings things that other players don't have. Special player. I hope he goes back to rebounding as well. But they want to push that tempo and he handles the ball..oh DJ too..so his rebounding numbers have decreased.

People still don't get this? He has short arms for his position. He's NEVER going to be a defensive stud.

He's one of the hardest working players in the game and also very smart, you really think his lack of defensive impact is about effort? It's not. Guys with length simply don't have too much trouble getting shots over him. That's just the way it is.

Ok.

Every player in the NBA has recorded a block before.

But I understand. You've got a personal thing for Griffin. Like Kobe stans and their weird obsession where if you don't think he's GOAT, you are evil and they must immediately go on the defensive.

Griffin plays for your team, so naturally he should have won MVP this year and better win it next year. He's the all time best free throw shooter and his defense is legendary. Anyone who disagrees is jsut a hater. Just a stupid hater who hates Blake and just hates him because they're jealous like a hater.

Tell us more, using your obvious objectivity and advanced basketball intellect. It's clearly not a case of you wanting his meat all the way down your throat or anything. You're just talkin ball. Objective and casual. Good stuff man.
