There's been a lot of discussion going on here about who will go where and what teams should do etc, but I'm curious to hear from the Cleveland fans who's team is actually picking #1. Who do you want them to take and why?

I think Smart will be the best player from this draft.

No lie.

I'm a cavs fan and I want Embiid. A strong PG and center is a proven winning combination. The cavs need to turn is ship around and make the playoffs next year so they can hopefully resign Kyrie for the long term.

I know it's tough to take a chance on a guy who might turn out to have injury problems but he has the most potential. I have a feeling that a lot of people think that the cavs need to take a safer pick after the Bennett disaster but Embiid has too much potential to pass up on. Any way the cavs go I feel a lot better about the team with anyone of wiggins, Parker or Embiid on the team. We basically got a extra life/do over.

They tried to learn from their mistakes with Lebron and instead of making an immediate push for the playoffs (like they did with Lebron) they stayed in acquiring good young prospect (tank) mode for a few years after drafting Kyrie. It's a dangerous gamble because you take the risk of breeding a losing culture and alienating your young star. This seems to be the path the pelicans are on and I hope it works out better for them. Davis is a very good player and he has potential to be great but they are going to need a lot more then just him to be contenders. I think trading for Jrue was a massive mistake that will ultimately lead to AD leaving the team.

Everything could have been different with Lebron if they had acquired some decent young pieces to grow along side him. Instead they over achieved. Hopefully by the time Kyrie reaches unrestricted free angency they will have a few well developed pieces (dare I say 1 or 2 young superstars besides Kyrie?) and we look like a championship contender with a very bright future.

Not the best player but definitely top 3 in this draft.

Too bad they could not draft a coach they have some talent on there roster now that should do better than there record last year. I think they should take Joel

any of the top 3 don't care I like them all. Just better not draft a player out of the top 3.

Didnt the OP ask this question to Cavs fans? I'd be surprised if there are so many Cavs fans on ISH, let alone everyone replying to this thread.

Who ever they pick will enjoy playing for Vinny Del Negro. He's a players coach.

Embiid, Wiggins, Parker in that order. Any of those I will be happy with. If they draft outside these 3 I'm cutting my Cleveland LeBron jersey and burning the side that says "Cavaliers" on it and leaving the James 23 side untouched.

Embiid ...if healthy.

Wiggins if Embiid isn't healthy.

We have one of the larger fanbases on ISH. What are you talking about?

Embiid and it's not close. If we pass on him, I'm going to pull my hair out.

Embiid ...if healthy.

Wiggins if Embiid isn't healthy.

Did you see him working out the other day? Looked pretty healthy to me. This isn't a situation like Nerlens Noel last year where we just had to trust he'd heal the right way. This guy can actually step out on the floor right now and play.

If there's something really off structurally, that's one thing, but it seems pretty unlikely at this point. I don't think a guy could do the things he was doing if he was still suffering from a major back injury.

Embiid is on his own tier in this class, imo.
