That's a damn rough start.
If I was an athlete who was abandoned as a child, and my mother or father suddenly popped back up the moment I got a big paycheck..... Oooooh, grammy would have to hold me back somethin strong. Only money my dad would ever get out of me in that situation is probably the medical bills for the beatdown.

Yeah, good call. The dad just totally confirmed to Martell that he was a piece of shit by doing that. He should have thrown his ass out Uncle Phil style.

yeh definitely agree with this, it would piss me off badly
Gilbert arenas had one of his parents show up at a game or something along those lines after he signed with the wizards or something along those lines

That was my first thought, because that was the GRK MO. Prostitutes who were usually drug addled.
Not that it makes it much better, but if she was a victim of the GRK, he may have been better off being raised by his grandmother anyway.
Sounds like the father should've been thrown off a bridge as well.
