If you say no, you're basically admitting this is an unfair team he's coaching. In fact 2 and a trip to the Finals is more than many HOF coaches have done

HAHAHAHAHA @ HOF after being given the keys to the most stacked team of ALL TIME RELATIVE TO EACH ERAS TALENT.

For some reason, Riley is in love with this kid and decided to make him famous and rich. MY GRANDMA COULD COACH THIS TEAM TO TITLES.

Even though his team is stacked, Spo does a great job. Look at the ball movement, spacing, defense, and plays run by the Heat. Compare that to the OKC team which is almost as talented but has guys standing around doing nothing, and trying to go one on four on offense

lol no way in hell, his experience just proves that when you have a team this good like Miami Heat, a coach really only has to figure out the playtime of each player. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, eventually... Spo doesn't get enough credit.

Russell Westbrook. Heard of him? He kind of does whatever the fukc he wants to do and dares you to challenge him. He doesn't get in line and he isn't humble.

Take Lebron off his team and Spoelstra's likely coaching the Bucks by now.

To be fair, people felt the same way as these comments with Phil Jackson.

It's unfortunate, but your circumstances determine how successful you will be. So sometimes it's really impossible to determine who's really a great coach.

We can definitely say that Pop is a great coach. And I still consider to be a top 2 coach of all time along with Phil.

Spo coached a great defense with Wade and scrubs. He's always been a good coach. I trust Pat Riley more than your average ISH poster.

I think he already is. Are there any coaches with 2 rings, that have not made it?

All I asked is if you consider him a HOF coach now or with 3 rings. If you don't, you are saying this team is unfair and anyone could coach them to rings...

No he needs to be tested in other situations before entering the HOF.

i.e Phil won 3 in the early 90s and he won a lot in other situations.

He is. It's not easy managing those egos, and his defensive schemes are HOF worthy... but I wonder how much influence Riley has on his coaching on a game to game basis.

I agree with SDBoxScore, Scott Brooks has proven that no matter how talented the team, you still need some semblance of brains to coach them.

Spoelstra is one of the best coaches in the league. He will be a HOF coach by the time he retires, but not after this season no matter what happens.

If he wins a 3rd ring and retired, he wouldn't be a HoFer most likely. But he's a young coach with a whole future ahead of him. He should be a HoF coach when it's all said and done.

Not sayin Scott Brooks is great or anything, but his detractors never tell both sides of the story. He has two starters who are virtually incapable of any offense AND a borderline retarded point guard. 'Plays' don't put the ball in the basket, they simply give players an organized avenue to use their own talent effectively on a given possession.

The smartest coach in the world could draw up a million plays for a d-league team to run against the Miami Heat, and they're still not gonna score 70 points. People just mindlessly blame the coach but sometimes you have to be realistic with expectations and look at context, things which general fans have very little proclivity toward doing.

What the frick makes a team "unfair?" This ain't the playground.

Everyone has the same cap rules and restrictions. Can't get mad at the team that puts together the best group of talent.
