D-Rose would say "Im not 100% right now"
Edit: But no, he definitely wouldn't come back. An ACL and Meniscus tear is 1000000x worse than a calf strain

what sort of response are you looking for with this question?
Have you not watched basketball for the past few years?

:biggums: You can't sense a joke when you see one can you... Derrick Rose is actually one of my favorite players. I even said I wanted him to come back strong in that other Derrick Rose thread

okay, so can we compare rose recovering from his meniscus and not coming back in the same timeframe westbrook came back from (the same injury), the same westbrook who had to get ANOTHER surgery to fix a loose stitch and was only returning for the regular season...
rose simply isn't the competitor we thought he was...

Rose can't even come back on time from an injury..

Ibaka's timeframe for coming back was 4-6 weeks and he came back in 10 days....
just from the interviews and stuff it sounds like his whole entire EXISTENCE for those 10 days was about getting better and doing everything he could to get on the court.
it sounds simple but most guys just don't have the heart to shatter injury times by working their ass off to reach the court. guys like kobe, westbrook, ibaka, all do and are generally labeled more "durable" as a result.

Derrick Rose didn't need to come back early from an injury.
He could've came back when he was medically cleared to play.
Or he could've came back one month after he was medically cleared to play.
Or he could've came back two months after he was medically cleared to play (the Bulls were still in the playoffs).
Ibaka came back 10 days after he was injured when the timetable was 4-6 weeks.
One guy risked further injury and potentially ruining his career just because he couldn't bear to watch his team lose.
The other chose to sit out while his teammates played through injuries and left everything out on the court, even though he was in better game shape than they were.
You can't even compare the two.

It's hard enough to get this guy to play healthy. Da fcuk you asking if he would play injured
he's already sitting on about a third of a BILLION dollars in total contact money. he doesn't care. :oldlol:
You're about to be added to the ignore list op.

Pre-ACL I think he would have. But since he keeps getting injured, I doubt he comes back early from ANY injury. It could be a jammed pinky and he is going to take his time coming back.

OP obviously meant would Rose, the person, regardless of what injury, have the heart to come back early or act like a diva bitch. Not comparing two players injuries. Smh some of you take things by face value too much, or think too deep.

Yes because Derrick rose grew 6 inches and now can block every center in the league. :pimp:

:lol This thread reads like Bimbo hour at the Apollo. I know this is hater central but at least get your anatomy lessons in. At least know that competitor and healing are two separate realities. At least know what healthy means.
Its been two years since we seen a healthy Rose, and Rose got two topics within the first two pages. Westbrook none. Durant none. Is basketball at this time of year this desperate? Its the conference finals. And the topic is about a calf pull that I never recalled Rose having. Lebron's only real competitor hasn't played healthy in over two years, and who owns these boards at this time of year. He has more post at this time of the year than anybody, minus Lebron hater threads for two years and counting now. Does that make any sense? And this is a topic that compares a calf strain with ACL/Miniscus injuries: Rose is so relevant, and today's superstars so weak, that we should draw nonsense parallels like this just to make a point.

in 2011 he played through toe injuries, ankle injuries, and stomach ulcers just to name a few. People were saying he should sit the entire season when he first got injured, now people are mad about it... he isnt even on your team, he hasnt played in 2 seasons pretty much, why is he still on your mind?
