:lol

every day i see lebron fans worship duncan and say how hes gonna pass kobe when the spurs win

its like they gave up on lebron cause they know its unlikely lebron will win 5 or more

they know their only hope is duncan. ( even though his 15 point playoff average wont get any credit... would be like a glen rice 2000 lakers title )

how pathetic

:facepalm

LeBron with a ring and Finals MVP this year would already surpass Kobe.

Been 4 years since the Lakeshow made it to the West Finals. Don't see them getting there any time soon.

i dont see it

duncans behind kobe with 3 fmvps and 4 rings. how would lebron be ahead of kobe with 3 fmvps and 3 rings

in the end its about rings by mvp winners. not number of mvp's by ring winners

hense moses malone being 16-20 all time with 3 mvps and 1 title.. while guys like shaq and kobe are top 10 with multiple rings and 1 mvp

James is 2-1 in the Finals when he's the leader (lost in 07' won 12' 13')

Same as Kobe when he went to 3 straight as the leader. Lost in 08' won 09, 10.

Even though LeBron has surpassed Kobe all-time, all he needs is 1 more title to pass Kobe in rings.

except kobe has 5 rings and not 2

because

2000 - 21/5/5 playoffs ( all nba/all defense )
2001 - 30/7/6 playoffs ( all nba/all defense )
2002 - 27/6/5 playoffs ( all nba/all defense )

combined 25/6/5 over 3 peat

and if lebron did any of that he'd get credit for them

and kobes beat 24 teams with 50+ wins in the playoffs

lebrons only beat 5 teams with 50+ wins in the playoffs

Duncan is already > Kobe. Rings aren't the end all be all.

21/5/5 is a carried ring.

The other two are legit sidekick rings.

Technically he has 5 but only 2 as the leader.

It's been well documented and the eye test has been done to see Kobe was no leader on the Lakers 3peat. He distanced himself completely from the team on and off the court.

Had the Heat won in 2011 and Wade got the Finals MVP, Kobe stans like yourself would have been saying "LeBron ZERO rings."

5 out of 7

3 out of 5

anyway you look at it ... kobe comes out on top

shaquille oneal has 1 mvp and 4 rings

whos ranked higher all time?

Are you crazy? LeBron is a top 5 player all time currently in his prime.

Kobe is the 11th best player ever and nearing retirement. Kobe is absolutely no threat to LeBron.

if it was just about rings as finals mvp then kareem would only have 2... magic would only have 3, bird would only have 2, russell would have 0

and even if you said well there was no finals mvp when russell played. well he was still outplayed 5-6 times during those 11 rings

do we take away them aswell?

kobe and shaq were separated by 1-2ppg over those 3 rings... not enough to discount kobe as 2nd banana

they were a 2 man team

kobe gets full credit for rings he averaged 29ppg in the playoffs.. atleast admit that

if you wanna go and say 2000 was a legit 2nd banana ring. fine.. strip kobe of his 1st title like a clown

but kobe/shaq in 2001 and 2002 were 50/50

they both averaged 30ppg in the 2001 playoffs and both averaged 27ppg in the 2002 playoffs

kobe has 4 rings as a leader or co-leader

2001 - 30/7/6
2002 - 27/6/5
2009 - 30/6/5
2010 - 30/6/5

well its easy to win an argument when you just ignore things another guy did

atleast i credit lebron with his rings

you dont see me saying

2012 - doesnt count = lockout
2013 - doesnt count = ray allen

thats nice to troll lebron fans. but at the end of the day a championship is a championship

and realistically... a lockout title in a crap era while not beating any good competition is not as solid as kobe averaging 30/7/6 during an all time record 15-1 playoff run against 4 teams with 50+ wins

regardless of who won finals mvp those years. kobes 2001 > lebrons 2012

Times have changed. Players are judged by what they do in the Finals. That's why you and others always bring up how bad James played in the Finals in 07 and 11, yet ignore what he did leading up to that.

But it's the opposite when it comes to Kobe. He's played much worse in the Finals than he has played leading up to them. That's why Kobe stans like yourself are relegated to providing "playoff stats" over his "Finals stats" or saying "everyone knows that the WCF was the real Finals."

This. The hypocrisy is hilarious.

Kobe performing worse vs inferior competition isnt a boost to his resume. :lol

except when james plays in the finals its the best team theyve faced.. and sometimes the only good team theyve faced

while kobe faced 3 teams in the first 3 rounds that are better than the team he faces in the finals during that 3 peat

honestly... why do we always have to keep reminding idiots about this shit. every god damn day we have the same discussions

Even if Kobe clearly wasn't the first option during the threepeat, he wasn't an afterthought. Probably can count on one hand at most how many other wings win 3 rings with Shaq during those three years.

You can't just throw those three rings out the window.

kobe overall had a great finals in 2001, 2008, 2009 and 2010

a solid finals in 2002

his only 2 bad finals were 2000 and 2004 due to injury. his shoulder and knee were f*cked in 2004 and in 2000 his ankle was destroyed

pretty much. all i hear these days is lebron fans hyping duncan and hoping he catches kobe if the heat dont win. like its some win/win situation prize  :oldlol: :lol

they actually would be more thrilled to have miami lose cause someone would get #5... while lebron would be stuck on 3

You're not saying that because by doing so it would be very hypocritical.

Heat won as the underdog against OKC in 2012.

When did Kobe ever win in the Finals or received the Finals MVP when the Lakers were the underdog once the conference Finals had been decided?

I'll give it to Kenster. He had a knack at being somewhat annoying with his nonsense. Better than the typical Stan.

However, of late, his desperation as Lebron continues to prove how far behind Kobe is as a player has gotten almost sad. I almost feel bad for Kobe Stans. Almost. The Kobe as good or better than Jordan thing ended up a bust. Lebron overtook him. None of it panned out for them.

It's now about "Can Lebron catch Jordan?", Kobe's an afterthought. And the Stans are cracking up.

But the LeBron catching MJ ship has sailed too with the sweep in the Finals, the quitting in game 5, when they were tied and AT HOME, and the epic 8 point game in game 4 of the Finals in 2011. LeBron should have accomplished more at this point in his career if he is supposedly on Jordan's level... Jordan never lost in the Finals (or even had a game 7 in the Finals! LeBron had one last year) and would never quit on his team or score only 8 points in a Finals game. That doesn't take into account Jordan's 6 rings to LeBron's 2, or Jordan having a more reliable jumper and post game. But FG% is the be all-end all, right?:coleman:
