I have noticed two men in history who have the most impressive lats.

This has to be one of the most underrated in history and if you are a skinny guy and work this part of your body, it will make you look awesome.

People like to work on their chest, arms and shoulders but this is all you need.

Although I agree with you and Arnold is one of my idols in terms of fitness. He is a huge motivating factor for me to build my body but I want to be able to wipe my ass though.

I was a bitch and didn't work my back enough when I started working out. Sorted my shit out now and it's amazing how much working out your whole body helps with other things you didn't realize. Working out my back more helped move along the plateau I had going on my bench press.

Core muscle group in terms of creating an overall good physique. Calves in terms of the most undertrained

I'm not sure but I feel like I'm plateauing at around 165-175 on bench press. It's taking forever to break through. What back exercises did you do? I've only been able to workout once a week most of this past year. So now that summer is here I want to start doing different workouts each day.

Yeah working out one day a week is your problem. I was stuck at 185 on bench for a while. What I did was I started getting lazy and only going a couple times a week, and I'd always just do chest/triceps/biceps and all my lifts started plateauing. I then snapped myself out of being lazy and I'm back to 5 days a week, Chest, Triceps/Biceps, Shoulders/Abs, Back, Legs. Ever since bringing back back and shoulders once a week my lifts have all started increasing again after they had stopped for a couple months.

Three days would probably be enough if you can't do 5. Chest/triceps, back/biceps, shoulders/abs and fit legs in wherever you can/want.

I do pull ups a lot for back, they're one of the best I've found. Lat pulldowns and deadlifts are great too.

The "wings" that stick out below the armpits.

What exactly do you mean by underrated? Underrated how?

I presume he means as in everyone wants nice pecs, abs and biceps.. no one ever mentions a nice back/lats. Triceps are also criminally underrated. They're a far bigger muscle than the biceps and you should be working triceps more than biceps if you want your arms to get bigger. I'm just talking "underrated" as in noobs don't realize these things.. obviously experienced lifters know what's up.

They are underrated in terms of aesthetics and often ignored compared to other muscle groups.

Also, they are the key to getting that V-shape body. The idea of bodybuilding is to build the biggest upper body with the smallest waist as possible.

Think Frank Zane and Arnold. Don't think about the modern bodybuilders because they are not it.

I'm pretty short but I get big biceps and quads (hammies and triceps to a lesser extent) REAL fast and they look huge relative to how much I curl... its only advantage to having a smaller frame. Also I can deadlift pretty well.

But I fcuking hate forearm exercises. It seems like not only do my forearms barely get bigger but my wrists are narrow so it seems like there's a low "ceiling" if they even do grow.

I used to do so many pull ups, that I eventually got so tight in my lats that it caused me to overuse certain other muscles when pulling/pushing, etc. It eventually led to scapula instability, and hurt my shoulder quite bad.

I always wanted that V shape look, and I got it, but always wanted to be as small as possible in the waist, and wide up top. Got a bit carried away. It was an absolute bitch getting out knots in my lats. The physio did it, and she recommended I do it at home too with the tennis ball. Worst pain ever. Such a small group of muscles to target with massaging that it was sensitive like hell.
