You can't call him a roll player and than blame him for losing a series. Doesn't work that way.

He's like 38 right now. No all time great did shit at that age aside from Kareem.

38 years old. Most people are deep in their basketball graves at that age.

17/9 on 52% this Playoffs. Robinson was a carcass at 38, with significantly less mileage. Shaq averaged 9/5 at that age, and he played like 1 minute in the Playoffs. Hakeem was worse at 36 than Duncan is now. Moses, Barkley, Magic, Bird were not in the league.

Duncan is chasing Kobe (http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/when-legacies-collide-lebron-james-tim-duncan-forging-theirs-as-we-watch-052714)

Kobe hasn't played a playoff game in 2 years :oldlol:

If the Lakers suck again next season count on Kobe being "injured" right before playoffs begin (that's if they make the playoffs) to save from being a part of an early exit. Kobe is chucking for RS scoring records nowadays.

I'm just observing that OP said Kobe would never lose 4 games in a row in the playoffs 3 different times and yet, he already has. Did he mean, prime Kobe would never lose 4 games in a row 3 separate times, because if so, then that's true.

Buut when he wins hes top 5 no questions right ??

Because it's all gravy when you reach this point of your career.

You really think people should start moving Kobe backwards in the all time rankings because of what he has done from 11 to now or something?

The only way Duncan or Kobe or Dirk or KG move backwards at this point of their careers is if a younger player like Lebron or Durant knocks them off a spot.

Yes, Duncan averaging 17/10/2 in the playoffs over the last 3 years now with 3 westernc conference finals trips and a finals is icing on the career cake of Duncan.

It's impressive longevity that should be noticed in his ranking all time....but nobody is going to knock him down for not winning this year because he's old as shit.

And just like nobody is going to vault him up hugely in the rankings if he loses either...

And you would of course support this as if Kobe was held to superstar standards honestly since game 6 of the 10 finals...he'd look like a clown.

6-24 chokejob in biggest game of his career
swept as huge favorite the following playoffs
12 loses in 5 in 2nd round
misses playoffs the next two years

And in the middle of all of that...drives away a top 10 player in the league.

So lets not pretend like any Kobe fan wants this kind of thinking.
