View Full Version : Miami would not do as well in the Western Conference.

Miami's weaknesses would be exploited in the West.

They would struggle against average Western teams like 2011 Lakers (Gasol, Bynum, Odom) and 2012 Jazz (Al Jefferson, Paul Milsapp) because those frontlines would be too much.

How would they magically add Jefferson and Afflalo?

you think if they were in the west they wouldnt have actively shopped Bosh around?

Pat Riley knows the bigs in the eastern conference are weak, thats why it was never a priority. I bet if they were in the west Bosh wouldve been traded for a legit big man by 2012

Like literally the top 5 PF's and PG's in the NBA are in the West (probably more than 5) and those are Miami's 2 weak points in their starting lineup.

West is better than the East NO DOUBT about it, but the up and down style of the western conference (almost every western conference playoff team) favors the Heat more than the grind it out East. Only team that would be a significant match up problem is Memphis but they're like Indiana in that I don't think they have enough talent and ball handling to beat them.

since the suicide mission of the Boston Celtics era
as well as the Rose injury.

They would get a 6/7 game series vs spurs/memphis

they would beat clippers, houston, portland, mavs all in 4/5

gsw, okc in 5/6.

In every season before this one the heat would have preferred to be in the west.

You don't think Miami loves those free flowing offense games over getting drawn in to the mud?

Of course not, that's why they (big 3) colluded in the east. They're not stupid.

No team in the west is about to 3peat.

You do remember they beat the 2 best teams in the West in the last 2 finals right? Beat the Thunder pretty handily too. So I dont know why you choose to ignore what reality that actually took place and believe what is hypothetical.

Load of shit.

They might get tougher opponents, but i don't see them losing to anyone.

:biggums:

Those Lakers got swept and eaten alive by Dallas. It was a sweep. And the close out game looked like a varsity high school team going up against the freshman team.

And the 2012 Jazz? Did they even make the playoffs?

It'd be much more difficult to get to the finals but they'd still be by far the most stacked team in the league with refs in their pockets.

They'd have a hell of a lot harder time getting to the finals.

NOT TO MENTION that whole "4 trips to the finals shit" probably would be a hell of a lot harder too.

It is what it is.
