Why do they need MCW when they already had Rondo?

interesting. That would mean Orlando could potentially get Parker if hes still left on the board? Maybe MCW for Harkless? or can philly get something better than that
MCW/Oladipo would make for an intriguing back court. one of those two would need to develop a reliable 3pt shot, though

We can trade Deron for Rondo, like what I did in NBA2K14.

Haha, you made the same mistake I did. I immediately thought the same thing but Philly picks before us. Do they really think Exum is going #2? Very interesting.

Interesting. I do really like Exum and I know Brett Brown has the Aussie connection which makes things interesting. Not sure I would be that quick to give up on a MCW/Exum experiment before ever giving it a shot tho.
I wonder if we could see a pick swap + MCW for Tobias Harris. Sixers take Exum and Magic take Jabari.

The Magic don't want Jabari. They wouldn't trade up to get him. They want Exum or Embiid.

I know, irl teams do not take huge contracts. I was kinda joking since its not like Rondo would make the Nets much better so the trade makes sense to nobody. In NBA2K14 you can even trade Joe Johnson's contracts lol, the reason why I traded Deron for Rondo was that I got Wiggins and Embiid in 2014 draft so I need a point guard whose job is no more than pass the ball and grab assists.

I was just randomly speculating. I have no clue what they Magic want out of this draft but that is a trade idea that would potentially make sense to me.
I doubt the Sixers move from #3. Cavs and Magic are sitting tight and they obviously can't trade back and take Exum if it appears that Orlando wants him at #3. I'm interested to see what we do at #10 if we take Exum. That spot seems ideal for getting a SG but that might not matter if we have Exum. Maybe Saric gets a hard look there if things pan out that way.

What everyone see in Exum :facepalm
Depends on what they get back honestly. If they can get a star..year.. but MCW is a gamer and will mesh well with Wiggins/Parker.
Exum....no

Please do. I'd gladly take Wiggins or Embiid.
philly being weird. You got your back court guy, you got your front court guy... now get yourself a wing.

Just so you know Scott O'neil the Sixers new CEO laughed at this last week in an interview and said there was no way that they would trade MCW after the just spent a year grooming him. They are not trading MCW. Apparently Hinkie is in love with Wiggins so don't be surprised if they move up to get Wiggins but they aren't going to trade MCW to take Exum. This is all coming out of Philly I dunno where this story came from.

Any rumors coming out of Philyl about what Hinkie would be willing to trade away in order to move up?

Ok great. I'm just quoting what the Sixers CEO had to say about it and why they wouldn't do it. I don't care if they do or they don't but I don't think that they will. His explanation didn't sound like a smoke screen and Wiggins is who Hinkie wants.

No real rumors. Just talking about what it would take. Maybe next years first round pick but lottery protected but not protected the following year. That would be fine because they will be in the lottery next year but the following year they probably won't. They have what five or six second round picks this year but that won't do it. I don't think a team wants to take Thad's contract so that won't help. I wouldn't be surprised if they move Thad but it prob won't be in that deal. Either way, with Hinkie, expect the unexpected. He's pretty smart and the way I see it it whatever he does I trust it.

I wouldn't trade Carter for any of those kids. Carter has already showed great skill at the professional level. More so than a lot of veterans. These kids in the draft might not do shit at the next level. I say, keep MCW and surround him with pieces.

You can trade every bad contract you have to the Sixers.
They take it all. 2k sixers will take any contract in the game.

I've been touting the Sixers' moves over the last year as the best in the league. This would not be on that list and, in fact, seems like the kind of unnecessary gamble that could really cost them in the longrun.
I'm not saying they have to take one of Embiid/Wiggins/Parker, but trading a very solid, very promising young PG for an unknown product like Exum -- regardless how much potential they think he has -- would be extremely unwise, imo.
Of course, it also depends what they would get back. If they could turn MCW into on the trading block, but I'm still never wild about trading the proven for the unproven.
MCW looked pretty damn good to me. If they like Exum so much, draft him and worry about the conflict later.
A lot of people don't realize this, but the Cavs drafted Mark Price and Kevin Johnson in the span of two years. When Price began to turn his game up, they traded Johnson for a pretty nice package (although I'm sure they had no idea how good he'd be).
Sixers need to take the best guy on the board at 3. If they think it's Exum, do it and worry about the consequences later. Don't trade MCW before you've even seen Exum on the next level.

There is no way and I mean no way Hinkie takes Exum at three. I'm
Convinced that he'll trade up for Wiggins. Hinkie is a really smart GM so don't expect something stupid like this. Scott O'neil basically said that Noel and MCW were untouchable. That's not entirely true but they aren't going to take exum. As I said before, expect the unexpected with Hinkie but this is not going to happen.

as much as i love MCW he put up huge stats on a bad team, and that is a recipe for being overrated.
If MCW never becomes a perimeter threat then he will be a huge liability going forward despite is supurb play in other aspects of the game. If the sixers think exum is going to be a stud then i trust Hinkie to do the right thing because for once the sixers have a gm that is being smart.

yeah, that seems to be the general consensus around here. i just feel with his size and length, he has the potential to become a pretty damn good perimeter defender in the league. already a very good shot blocker for his position, when given minutes. kid just turned 21, so i have faith.
