With the rumors about Philly considering Exum, does this mean Jabari could drop to 5th?

That backcourt is going to be spectacular defensively... but that FG% and turnovers...

Maybe. I mean. I'm praying someone passes on Embiid because I know Hennigan doesn't love Smart enough to take him over Embiid.

I think Milwaukee's leaning towards Jabari if Embiid's taken #1. They said he looked fantastic during workouts. So I would imagine Wiggins would be the one sliding, and if Philly takes Exum #3, I can't see Orlando picking Smart over Wiggins. Smart over Wiggins would be an incredibly dumb move by them.

I've heard ideas that the Magic should trade up (to about #8 if Randle is still there) or trade down with the Bulls and get #16 and #19. I'm unsure.

There is absolutely no way Philly passes up on Wiggins if he falls to 3. He's their guy.

Oh I know, not a fan of his personally compared to the other top guys, but if this is true about Smart, then Utah could get their guy.
I don't expect the Lakers to still have their pick come draft night anyway. Not sure what we'll deal it for, but can't imagine we'll keep it.

Smart and Oladipo would not be a very effective backcourt. So many TO's will kill you.

I feel like Dipo can improve but it's going to be a sloppy first year. Very sloppy. I really don't want Smart at 4.

Defensively, yes. They would lead the league in steals I bet. But offense would be...very sloppy for the first couple years.

I know. I want this Exum guy too but Henni seems set on Smart.
Smart, Hood, Lavine, Warren and Johnson worked out with the Magic on Monday.

I know a lot of players are going to workout with us, but the thing is that Philly (and maybe even Milwaukee) are both apparently interested in Exum.

Why not? Worst Case scenario is Julius Randle or Marcus Smart, which is great value.
For the aving them for five years for little to no money? that'll be huge too.
Unless you're getting Kevin Love or Rondo or someone like that, makes no sense.
Please no. I'll gladly take Exum or Randle instead.

Even if it's not Love or Rondo, I'd feel more comfortable with established talent. Though I guess there isn't anyone else out there really.
I'm also not certain the FO won't make a stupid pick.

If we're going by fit, Embiid, Parker, then Wiggins. If we're going by upside, switch Parker and Wiggins.
Embiid is my #1 and it's not close, to be honest. I just cannot see him going past the Bucks at #2. All the scouts who watched him during his workouts said he looked 100%, and Embiid himself said he's just about fully healthy. If these reports are true, he's a game changer.
That, and his recent measurements are too good to pass up. 7'1" with shoes, with a 7'6" wingspan and 9'6" standing reach. Also had 15 pounds of added muscle putting him at 265 pounds as a 20 year old...and he could reasonably fill out his frame to 280-290 pounds down the road. He'd be up there with the other physical beasts before him for his position.
I'd probably have Parker next, mainly because of fit. Milwaukee has a developing point-forward in Giannis. He has all the tools to be a tenacious perimeter defender - he's projected to grow to 7 feet tall, with a 7'5" wingspan, with guard like speed/quickness/explosiveness. He also has shown legit point guard vision and instincts. He's obviously not going to be Lebron or Magic at his size, but he should be able to run an offense with his playmaking. That being said, he needs a pure scorer to run the floor with him. Someone who can shoot, post up, iso, etc. Giannis can get other people involved, but considering he's not a pure, traditional PG nor will he ever be one, he and the Bucks need someone who can just take the ball and score at will.
Philly should definitely go with Wiggins. Their 2 pieces right now are long, athletic players with tremendous defensive upside. Wiggins is right there. I don't know how credible the measurements of Embiid, Parker, and Wiggins are, but they stated Wiggins is almost 6'9" with a 7' wingspan and a 44 inch vert. His defensive instincts and potential were obvious at Kansas. The Sixers could have the most vicious defensive trio in the league in a few years. Wiggins can also shoot the ball, and with MCW running the point they wouldn't have to worry about Wiggins having to handle the ball or run the offense that much. He'd be a good fit there.

No way in hell we take him over Wiggins or Embiid. I could see us taking him over Parker though which is the most likely scenario. Hennigan wanted him last season. I trust Henni, but I'm not sure about this...

a couple weeks back before the lottery pinstripe had sources saying Parker was on top of our big board and our number one focus though. I don't think we know anything at this point. There's still speculation and rumours that charlotte want both Afflalo and Nelson which would likely net us their pick too.

Sorry for the late response, thanks for the writeup.
Embiid's measurables are getting pretty frightening, especially given his age. I think he'd be in a great situation with you guys, since it'd give him time to develop next to Giannis. There is a very real chance Cleveland takes him I figure, not only based on his upside, but because they might be hearing that LeBron is likely to return.
Do you think Parker can run the floor well if you guys play with pace? How do you think his scoring skillset will translate to the NBA?
Regarding Wiggins, would you be disappointed if you guys drafted him? Is Exum on the radar at all, since Orlando/Philly like him (from my understanding)?

This would be an interesting situation.
CLE - Embiid

UTA - Exum
Everyone gets something they need. I don't know how the Celtics would pass up Julius Randle for Aaron Gordon...

nobody is worried if he is healthy right now, its his long term healthy that people are worried about., whether he has some chronic back problems, and whether hes predisposed to getting another back injury. he had back issues in high school as well as college.
although i do agree, if his back checks out, hes the clear no.1 imo
