The refs have become too powerful this playoffs to have any prediction. They want certain team to win? The best player in the world who has NEVER had any foul trouble can rack up 5 fouls in 15 minutes. How the hell would I know which team they want to win? They are milking a game 7 if you ask me. Probably 18 points with 5 fouls.

What if he produces those stats but then he goes 0-3 with 2 turnovers in the last 2 minutes, and the Heat go on to lose by a point? What will the point be for producing those stats?

Wouldn't you rather the Heat just win, and he goes 25/7/8 on 55%?

You really think the Heat would lose at home if LeBron's scoring and assists result in 70+ pts? I could see that happening if, say, the Pacers completely dismantle the Heat's defense and vice versa, which is far from being the hallmark of this series.

The "hallmark" of a series can change. Did it look like Paul George was about to have a breakout game in Game 5? In fact, the "hallmark" of the game changed from one half to another. George had 6 points in the 1st half, and then broke out in the 2nd half.

What if Stephenson and George break out together for a whole game? Even if Lebron scores 40, but the other Heat players don't get involved, despite Lebron's 10 assists, the Heat could lose, if Lebron hypothetically screws up in the last 2 minutes of the game..

The point is ---stats aren't as important as Lebron delivering victory when it really counts. It's the fans that are into lebron's stats. I have seen Lebron's game enough to see his maturity. Winning is what matters most to him since he sees himself from a historical viewpoint.

The best players in history produced wins, above all. Producing stats are only meant for one reason---producing wins.

Why do people continue to predict high-assist games for LeBron? That's a thing of the past. Miami simply aren't the shot makers they were before and given the improvements in LeBron's own skill set, he's much more of a scorer when he has the ball this season than ever before. He's not even averaging 5 apg this postseason. If he does have a big game in Game 6, it will be something like 35/7/4

GrapeApe
05-29-2014, 12:56 PM
I don't think LeBron goes off or anything, just a strong all around game. He doesn't have anything to prove at this point and he'll go out and just play his game. I expect a well rounded team victory.

It's one thing for a player or two to have career-nights, totally another for two *teams* whose styles are predicated on defense and slowing things down to abandon what's worked for them as stakes get higher and higher.

41/10/12 on 55% and a loss in OT, I could see that possibly happening though extremely unlikely. Regulation? Indy @ Miami with series on the line? Well, even if that somehow happens, that loss is NOT on LeBron in my (or any sane fan's) book.

By the way.. since joining Miami, LeBron's playoff record is 6-0 when he puts up 30/10/5 on 50+% shooting, 4 of these games (incidentally) were against Indiana.
