Yes, however Kobe was playing on a bum ankle, hobbled and limping around after Jalen Rose admittedly intentionally injured him. Oh, and Kobe wasn't even in his prime yet back then either. LeBron is in his prime and he's not playing injured.

There was no other dynasty because the Bulls butt raped everyone else. The two seasons that the Bulls didn't have their best player performing, the other teams took advantage. Hakeem got 2 rings, Shaq made the Finals, etc. As soon as the Bulls split, the Spurs and Lakers took over. The Bulls were THE dynasty in the '90's. Wilt NEVER had the kind of impact that MJ had on game. IMO, no other player ever will and LeBron is the closest (and even he falls a bit short).

Honest question. Do you actually watch any of the current teams?

lol @ using a series when MJ was 34 years old and playing against a type of physical defense that Lebron has NEVER seen in his life. :oldlol: Pippen shot 41%. The rest of his team excluding MJ shot like 40%. And they didn't have nearly the defensive pressure MJ did. It wasn't like his team was playing stellar and he was the only one stinking up the joint and costing them games.

Funny that you mention the 9-35 FG game from that series, when it's a perfect example of the difference between MJ and Lebron. Jordan was like 2-23 going into the 4th, but then scored 20 points in the 4th, hitting 7-8 from the field in one stretch to pull the Bulls within 2 points late. Marv Albert called it one of the most amazing turnarounds he had ever seen a player make in a game, but to you it's the worst game ever. :oldlol:

http://webuns.chez-alice.fr/finals/1981.htm

This has been brought up ad nauseum in this forum and is a misnomer to Bird's performance in that series. Simply put: Bird hurt the Rockets in other ways.

First 8 point game - he also went for 13 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals, and was the best player on court in what was a very physical, defensive-oriented game in which the Rockets were limited to 71 points.

Second game - registered 12 rebounds (all defensive), 7 assists, and a couple more steals. Probably his worst game of the series and he was still impactful.
