Rose thoroughly outplayed every elite point guard he was matched up with the entire year in 2011. Much less a game here and there. There were no Kyrie Irving games where an opposing guards with a sucky team came into his, Westbrook's palace, and destroyed him and OKC, and then did it again on the road, like Kyrie did to Westbrook. Rose's dominance was much more thorough.

Alot of Rose haters on this board, but one thing that cannot be denied is the way he has made other PG's look foolish.
He has dominated CP3, Irving, Wall, Rondo and Westbrook in most of their head to heads and like said before, he basically sent Deron Williams to the trash heap. Wish he could return to that level of dominance, so he and Westbrook could go at it...but I doubt he ever is more than 85% of what he was. Him and WB and K Love all train in the summer together, so they must really love competing against each other.

When healthy and injury free, his quickness in the halfcourt and on the break is top-5 in the league easily. I wish Parker had the ability to dunk in traffic like Rose and Westbrook do (Parker never dunks).

The Bulls never gave the Heat a series with a healthy Rose, what makes you think they'll be able to with a gimpy version?

Maybe if they get a star who can stay on the court for a full season like Love they'll be able to compete. A Rose-led team isn't going to accomplish anything but regular season wins.

Much more athletic? He's a great player, i wont take away from him. But you saying more tenacious and athletic when Rose won an MVP at 22 is hard for me to grasp.

Rose never had the benefit of playing with a Kevin Durant, OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO IT. Russy has always had that.

Rose has always had no other creator or true offensive threat next to him in his career.

FTR, I think a healthy Rose and Durant would have already won an NBA chip. Their personalities work much better together.

ACL tears had wiped out the greatest of men. He was injured. It happens. You talk bad about people you never know when it comes back to get you.

Now basketball talk... he isn't more athletic. I'm sure Rose's combine numbers are better. Rose is definitely stronger. Rose is more explosive off of two feet. Rose is more co-ordinated. Westbrook might be more explosive off of one foot but otherwise, you can't say Westbrook is more athletic. No way is he much more athletic.
