Because you sing the national anthem you don't rap it. That's like saying "How many basketball players have ever scored touchdowns, are they not athletic enough?"

Every other notable musical genre has individuals talented enough to perform the national anthem,

rock
pop
country
blues
etc.

Why not the rap genre?

Because rap is different and doesn't require having a good voice to be good at it

I'm sure there is , but I can't think of any at the moment. A pure rapper won't sing that is the problem , I don't consider Chris Brown a pure rapper but he has a good enough voice

If 2pac tried to sing I betchu half his fans would laugh at him it just doesn't fit , don't be something you're not

Ah, the ad hominem fallacy, to be expected from ISH.

I just figured in raps 30 year history, someone, somewhere has done a rendition of the National Anthem. Wondered what that sounded like.

If not, is this a form of discrimination? Why does one musical genre not get the chance to honor it's country?

Lauryn Hill would shit all over this garbage thread in no time if she was given the opportunity. Go jump off a bridge with the rest of OKC's completely bandwagon fanbase for this dumbass shit

Would she plagiarize it then refuse to give credit or pay royalties to the original authors of it?

I understand wondering if it's ever been done, but you're not stopping there.

waseem's post sums it up perfectly.

Queen Latifah has done it. Quite a few rappers can sing. And even if they couldnt it isnt a matter of talent. Rosanne ****ed a national anthem all up.....
