That is the right choice.
Not a great shooter, but he has good mechanics and the Magic won't be left with a back court of Smart and Oladipo who both can't shoot.

Smart is a good midrange shooter and Dipo showed huge strides in his 3pt shooting in the 2nd half of the year.

Dependable shot.
Some guys can develop a dependable jumpshot or 3pt shot, but you want them to have that coming out of college, or at least have good mechanics.
Smart isn't a bad choice, but you want to have someone you know will be a good shooter next to Dipo, just in case he doesn't develop his jumper into very dependable.

I like Exum and Oladipo as our future backcourt. They can both play PG and they can both play SG. Should be interesting.

LOL, watch for the turnovers and also no perimeter shooting at all, both are below average shooters...

We should trade Afflalo and Vucevic and the #4 pick for the #1 pick and get Embiid
Oh my dreams... lol

Any backcourt with a 6'4 SG isn't 'supersized'. You'd have a big PG but who knows how his defense, (or game in general for that matter) will translate to the NBA. It's a pretty huge step up in competition for a guy who's been playing against god knows what competition in Australia.

Meh. Definitely not worth a season of tanking but he's an interesting prospect, could be a really dynamic player.

Dipo is 6'5. Tell me a backcourt that has a 6'7 PG and a 6'5 SG. I'll wait. I trust in Hennigan to make the right decision as far as who to pick.
