View Full Version : More impressive: Kobe's 4 straight 50 point games OR Durant's 25+ 41 game streak.

Kobe had 65, 50, 60, 50. 4 games in a row.

VS

KD's 25+ for 41 games.

Which was more impressive?

I'm going with Kobe. How often do we see 2 60 point game's by a player in the same week

Lebron's 31.7 PER season with the Cavs tops both. He just dominated every aspect of the game.

Or about PER. It's about scoring outbursts. Lebron stans are illiterate and didn't go to college either

I would choose Kobe. We are lucky to get one or two 60 pt games a season, to have it done twice in the same week by the same player is just crazy.

Kobe by far what he did was flat out ridiculous.

Kobe by far, can you post his shooting numbers?

For someone like Durant, his game and his role on the team, 25 isn't impressive at all. It's like saying Kobe score at least 15 points for 150 games, so fukkin what?

I'd go with Kobe, although both are impressive. Both streaks are very symbolic of their careers

It shows how pathetic Kobe is. He can explode for crazy numbers like 81, 65, 60 but can only win 2 scoring titles.

I've started forgetting details from Kobe's streak. Which means he's becoming an old timer. Which means Durant's streak is more impressive.

I remember that week where Kobe just kept dropping 50+ per game. It was insane and had a lot of people buzzing. I'm gonna go with that. People just forget how ridiculous dude was.

Durant's PPG average is 32. That is more impressive than 25+ 41 game streak.

its very imprssive because there is 160+ players in the league and maybe 5-6 players even average 25 points a game but thats not what were talking about idiot
its 25 points a game for 41 str8 games. Stupid Lebron stan

I think Kobe's 50 point game streak is more impressive. People freak out when KD and Lebron get one 50 point game and Kobe had 4 in one week. The consistency is great from KD but I don't think it's as spectacular as Kobe's streak.

Both are impressive, but Kobe wins this comparison by far.

BTW a side note, people who constantly yap gimmick about the same fkin players is so annoying.

To the guy on page one with a Bill Russell avy, a tagline that says "11>6" coming into a thread about Kobe and Durant and says Russell's 11 rings is more impressive...

And the guy with a Mikan avy, a tagline about Mikan and posting about Mikan, again, in a thread about Kobe and Durant...

shut the hell up. corny gimmicky fruit cakes.

Durant's streak was pretty damn impressive, but Kobe's was on another level imo. Could you imagine how crazy people here and the media would react if Lebron or Durant had 4 straight 50 point games? With 2 60 point games in there? We were shitting ourselves over Durant's 54, Lebron's 61, and Melo's 62. Imagine that plus another 50 point game, in the same week, by the same player..

I don't think Kobe back then was any less hyped than what LeBron or Durant are now. The only reason such a streak by them might create such a stir is because they have us used in different kinds of dominance, while Kobe had already had multiple other impressive scoring streaks, so this was just one of many. Much like Kobe's playoff series against the Suns in 2010, when, apart from his usual 30+ point games, he also had some at 10+ assists, a couple were close to a triple-double, thus creating a fuss among his fans, although LeBron had been producing such games during his whole playoff career, having people lose their interest after a while of such kind of dominance.
