Yea but, Kobe has scored over 30,000 points in his career, so your point is invalid.

Good comparison.

So your basically saying if a prime Lebron plays 24 minutes a game he'll only average 7 points on 20 % shooting.

Kobe at 17, averaged that at 15 minutes a game and his field goal percentage was twice as good.

No i'm saying 7 points is an aberration for LeBron, while it is something that is expected from Kobe as he averaged that for an entire season

Its okay, have fun worshipping a 7 ppg role player like Kobe

Most likely a troll thread, but on the off-chance it's just plain ignorance, you should know that it was decided by Laker management that Kobe's minutes would be pretty limited during his rookie year regardless of what he would do on the court. That was decided before the season even started. The reason being that they didn't want to put too much pressure on him to produce and carry the team at 18 years old. They also had Nick Van Exel, Byron Scott, Eddie Jones, and a 22 year old Derek Fisher to handle the guard duties and share playing time with Kobe.

His minutes per game was about 15 while averaging 7.6 ppg. His PER was second highest on the team with only Shaq's PER being higher.

its also a plain ignorance that LeBron had 5 fouls in 13 minutes of play... if he didn't have 5 fouls he would not score 7 pts... #hatersgonnahate

No doubt LBJ (IMHO, the best layer in the game today) was handcuffed by the zebras. The fact that he had a rough night doesn't diminish his standing in my eyes.

I never understand the need to disparage one player to prop up another.

What was Lebron's average in 2000? 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, therefore lebron is beta and Kobe's better

Kobe averaged 7.6 ppg in 15.5 minutes of playing time....He was already capable of scoring 18-20 a game given the minutes, but he had to earn his spot first, which he did in 2 seasons.

Lebron was drafted to a loser franchise and since their team sucked, he got to take as many shots and get as many touches as he wanted. Lebron putting up godly stats on losing teams are irrelevant. His career started when he joined Miami. Kobe's started when he took over as a superstar in 2001.
