That's not new when you have two franchises alone with almost 20 titles while other teams haven't won yet or not in 30-40 years. In terms of titles, there's never been that much parity.

If the Pacers didn't collapse, a Pacers/Spurs or Pacers/Thunder finals could have been good. If the Nets played up to their hype a Nets/Thunder or Nets/Spurs finals could have been good.

Even if it's your team, what fun is it after they've won 3 or 4 championships? When the Bulls won their 6th championship, it was just expected by that point. There was no "I wonder if the Bulls can do it this season?". It wasn't that fun as the first championship or the first championship they won when Jordan came back in the '95/'96 season.
