He was like the 5th pick I believe. Mullin was a beast.

He was Daly's ideal zone buster. At that point he was arguably (leaning heavily towards him, mind you) the best small forward in the league. His defense was suspect but he was crafty and just an absolute savant on offense.

Chris Mullin with Klay Thompson's lack of alcoholism.

Mullin by a big margin now...but it's really not that absurd of a question if we're looking at Klay's potential. He just put up 18/3/2/1/1 on 56% TS as a 23-24 year old. Chris Mullin peaked at 26/6/4/2/1 on 59% TS at 28 years old. Klay could reasonably improve on both ends of the floor for the next 4-5 years, perhaps longer considering how dangerous a shooter he is. He may never reach 26ppg playing alongside Steph, but I could totally see him being capable of putting up 26/5/5/2/1 with terrific defense in 4 years or so. Mullin was a great player, but he wasn't prime Jordan or anything.

The alcohol is what gave him strength.
