Durant disappeared to end the game because Scott Brooks is a moron and overplayed him. There was a reason he was taking no jumpers and slipped at the end of the game: Scott Brooks ran him into the ground. The Thunder really need a 3rd scorer a la Kevin Martin or James Harden who actually produces in the playoffs to take the strain off of Durant and Westbrook.

Lebron stans telling "no excuses" for KD so he won't go join two other superstars in LA because if he does they Leflop's legacy is over.

lmao, it's not even really an excuse. people were bringing up his minutes played before the playoffs even started.

statistically he was what, the 2nd best player in the playoffs behind bran?

I wont put too much blame on him if I were Thunder fans. Lets be honest, this Spurs team resembles the Mavs in 2011, a team destined to win NBA title this year. The Thunder could not beat the Spurs even with a healthy Ibaka for game 1/2, and to think they made it all the way to game 6 it was already a success since they were supposed to be swept.

OK, genius. Who should have Brooks played instead of Durant?

I'll save you some time and say .... no one. Scott Brooks was stuck playing checkers (due to jack @#$E for a bench) while Pop could play chess.

You join the ranks of Portland. That -ish will get you through the regular season but it will not get you through a seven game series against a good team.

Durant is 25, not 35. He doesn't even initiate the offense.

The guy was playing almost 40 minutes per game throughout the season to compensate for the loss of Westbrook and pursuit of mvp trophy. He played 3 intense playoff series averaging 43 minutes as a result of okc's terrible bench. He did his best, if his own team helps him more, he will be even better next year.

Uhhh no team in the league, including Miami, has a scoring combo like they have. They have the best shot blocker in the game. They have the best one on one bigman defender in the game. They have the best bigmen bench in the game. They have a point guard coming off of the bench dominating and producing playoff wins. Why not just have another top ten scorer.

Like I said in another thread.

Durant was being compared to Cavs Lebron, many were saying that Durant is better than Lebron now, or Lebron from 4-5 years ago.

Lebron in Cleveland was a one man army, he had no Westbrook by his side to take the strain off of him and he was doing much more on defense than Durant. He had to go against KG+Pierce+Allen+Rondo all that while not having a legit second option.

When Lebron was bounced out of the playoffs in his Cavs days he received more blame than Durant now. And God forbid if Lebron fans brought up the exhaustion excuse, it was always choking, empty stats, etc....

Probably was exhausted. Played the most minutes in the league in the regular season and the postseason. Scotty Brooks farts. He doesn't know how to use the talent on that team effectively. In team huddles he talks about where they are going out to eat after the game.
