If you take away his only crutch, "rings", (and you should take them away because he owes 3 to Shaq), there's legitimately no honest comparison between him and Duncan, Shaq, and Bran. Those three guys are similar impact-wise and Kobe isn't on their level at all. Period.
In fact if you go STRICTLY by game impact and not by frivolous all star appearances and point totals, you could easily put Kidd, KG, Dirk, Nash, and Perkins ahead of him.
It's just kind of humorous, because silly fans and media want to push this agenda as if Kobe is on "another level" from the mere mortals of his generation. But the truth is... he's a pretty average star. He's as overrated in the all-time superstar landscape as Carmelo is in the current superstar landscape, simply because he takes all the show-off shots throughout the game.
Lettuce take a moment, and really think about and appreciate how spectacularly overrated Kobe Bryant has been, and correct this notion within ourselves, so that we don't have to put up with any of this laughable "kobe top 10" talk anymore, or any suggesting that its even debatable that he touches Tim, Shaq, or Bran. He's basically a glorified Gilbert Arenas. He's Adrian Dantley. He doesn't even impact the game like Kevin McHale did (probably the most underrated player ever).
Thank you.
