Regular season: 27/7/6/2/.3 18 shots per game 57% 38 minutes per game
Playoffs: 27/7/5/2/.6 17 shots per game on 56% 39 minutes per game
Really odd to see a teams number one option shoot less in the playoffs than he he did in the regular season.
Compared to Jordan @ age 29
Regular season: 33/7/6/3/1. 26 shots per game on 50% FG. 39 minutes per game
Playoffs: 35/7/6/3/1. 28 shots per game on 48% FG 41 minutes per game
Kobe @ 29
Regular season: 28/6/5/2/.5. 21 shots per game on 46% 39 minutes per game
Playoffs: 30/6/6/2/.4. 22 shots per game on 48%. 41 minutes per game
Each player reached the finals, Jordan won, Kobe lost, Lebron tbd
Ill do Kobe as a 30 year old when he won a ring to show what his reg season/ playoffs looked like when he won since Lebron will prolly win this year.
Reg season: 27/5/5/1.5/.5. 21 shots per game, 47%. 36 minutes per game
Playoffs: 30/5/6/2/1. 23 shots per game. 46%. 41 minutes per game.
Now Lebron might go off in the finals and raise those numbers but to me it seems that both Jordan & Kobe (especially Jordan) were each forced to carry more of the load when the playoffs began, each upped their shots per game, their scoring per game while loging more minutes.
Is it that Lebron is playing on a more well rounded team than these two guys which leads to him not having to "step up" his game as much come playoff time?
