Dumb. He's not asking him to come as a player. He's asking him to retire and coach.

I don't want bran here unless he is bringing Wade and Bosh with him.

That's all the Knicks need, another aging star past his prime who won't win them rings :facepalm

Fish hasn't announced his retirement yet tho. Although as I read that op article, it sounds like P Jax asked for it to be off the record and that rag reported it anyway. Same thing that happened to Sterling.

Yeah, that was pretty dumb of him. He's getting fined for the hope he can convince some back-up point guard with no experience to come and supervise his rebuilding project. Mark Jackson or George Karl are experienced and proven and can be interviewed without breaking any rules. It's still early in his tenure but do far there has been nothing good about GM Jackson.

I think the league should have fined the Knicks organization.

Because as to who pays the bill, I don't see how that should matter
not that it matters in a good/great franchise

Personally, if I were Dolan.

I'd pick up the tab and go "boo-hoo NBA"

Jackson doesn't want an experienced coach. He wants someone new that he can mentor and mold in his image. That's why he wanted Kerr, and why he wants Fisher.

If Fisher doesn't take it, my dark horse pick is Fred Hoiberg.

I have a feeling this is going to be disastrous. Well at least P Jackson got paid even if this will make him look bad in the end. I know it's the trend now to hire guys with no coaching experience..but Fisher..ok. knicks will continue to be a laughing stock.

Idk about you guys but I think fisher could be a nice coach. Very high IQ. Knows the game well, been in the league a long time. Why not

Pretty dumb would be this post. I expect better from you - are you this bored?
Jackson; Karl. Proven losers. Just what you want for the rebuild. :facepalm

It's interesting that K Love can go hang out in Boston tho. And put himself in position to be tampered with.

What he should be wanting is what's best for the Knicks. Fisher may be a good coach one day but that possibility and Jackson's desire to mold someone in his image should not keep him from looking at proven candidates, especially when you have a young (for a coach) proven possibility out there in Mark Jackson. Why break rules for a completely unproven commodity that may not even want to coach? I'd almost bet money Fisher tries to play again next season.

Unfortunately I don't expect anything from you beyond Knick homering. "Proven losers?" Based on what standard? Karl coached a team to the Finals and has numerous playoff appearances while Jackson took a young team to the playoffs twice in Golden State. Why are these guys losers? That's a stupid thing to say.

He signed a 5 year contract with probably now looking like the possibility of being terminated on his 3rd year.

Can he manage the ego of the people writing his checks, instead of those who he can help earn checks?

Dolan doesn't get fired for not winning rings.
