I had the spurs in 6 until that stupid ass comment but now I can see wade playing to the highest level. This. Him saying "We'll get it done this time" is basically a polite way of saying the Heat aint shit. Guaranteeing victory is the ultimate disrespect to your opponent. by the way, in response to the OP, I honestly don't think these words make any difference whatsoever. The only impact a statement has is that the player will be asked about it by the media, and if it's a big enough controversy, his teammates will be asked as well. The impact on the court is 0 unless it causes such a distraction that it affects team chemistry. Not likely here.
