View Full Version : Damage contol won't work, Bron/Heat stans...

As you can see, this board is littered with Bron/Heat stans trying to control the damage that will take place if the Heat lose. They are very insecure heading into this series and they know it took a miracle 3 by Allen to save them last year. Their big thing now is relying upon the "experts" picking the Spurs to win, simply because it will allow them to say, "So what we lost? We were the underdogs."
Sorry to burst your proverbial bubble, but...
The Heat are massive failures if they lose this series. Regardless of what anyone says, they have to be the favorites because they are the most stacked team in the history of the NBA relative to each era. There is no "get out of jail free" card. There is no excuse. Man up. Stop deflecting. Win like you're supposed to.

3 all stars, possibly the easiest road to the finals in NBA history, and a cast of solid role players and Heat fans are still acting insecure.
It's bad that they want to put LeBron on the top 10 of all time lists yet don't expect him to play at all like a top 10 player on the biggest stage.

they are the most stacked team in the history of the NBA relative to each era.
By what metrics? If this is the case why are they the underdogs?
The 2000's Lakers had a top 5 player and top 10 player--of all-time. The 90's Bulls were the only team to have two superstars for an extended period (the Magic did for only 2 years). The 80's Lakers had two GOAT candidates. The 80's Celtics had Bird, McHale, Parish, Walton, D. Johnson.
Even in 2014, at least the Clippers and Thunder are more talented than the Heat. The Thunder have the #2 player in the NBA and another top 5 player along with another top 20 player. The Clippers have a top 3-4 player, another top 10 player and all-star caliber players in Jordan, Crawford along with good role players in Reddick and Collison. Also, the Rockets have the best center and an all-NBA 1st team guard. All these teams are multiple "superstar" teams like the Heat.

That is how you make the top 10, by performing on the biggest stage.
You see anyone trying to put Dominique Wilkins in the top 10? How about Chris Paul?

Please explain to me how Ray Allen's three was a "miracle"? Was it from half court? Was it with his left hand falling out of bounds? Did it bounce off Spoelstra's head on the sideline and then go in?
It was a rhythm shot by the greatest three point shooter in NBA history? Miracle? :biggums:

They're the underdogs to some because they are beta and cowardly. They are obviously more talented than any team in the league. Having the most stacked team talent wise does not guarantee a ship.

they are the underdogs because no one expects lebron to step outside of the flow of the game and impose his will much vs the spurs.
if you just compared the talent levels of each team to one another it wouldn't even be close because of the difference at the top.

Where are the metrics that lead you to conclude they are the most stacked team in history?
From my edit of my earlier post:
Just a decade ago, the 2000's Lakers had a top 5 player and top 10 player--of all-time. No offense, but I did not read that entire post and I don't care. We all know the truth already, regardless of how you want to analyze it or hide from it. Bron and Wade were both top 3 players in their prime at the time of the collusion and signing. Bosh was a top 10 player in his prime. The league is already watered down due to there being less talent and more teams. When I say the most stacked team in history, I am saying that while also considering many circumstances. I am not saying they are the best team ever, I am saying they are the most stacked team, talent wise, in the history of the NBA, relative to their era compared to other eras.
Just accept it.

smh...relative to competition huh, the showtime Lakers, as well as the 1996-98 Bulls have much to say to this. there's also Bird's Celtics.

For someone like LeBron, who's whole 'legacy' is built upon padding his regular season stats, and winning regular season MVP's based on said stats. How sad is it that a pre-prime Durant pretty much stole an MVP away from him at the peak of his powers?
This isn't like the Derrick Rose thing where he won it over Dwight Howard and was quickly exposed for being the biggest fraud MVP ever.
This is literally Kevin Durant surpassing LeBron as a better basketball player, and the MVP is symbolic of that.
I just find it kinda funny/sad/interesting that LeBron tries so ****ing hard to protect his stats, and even calculated a plan to boost his FG% to 60 this year, yet still KD managed to thoroughly outplay him almost on a night to night basis and snatched the only thing that matters to LeBron.... MVP
I mean, not only has KD been stealing possible scoring titles and allstar MVP's from Bron.... now a 25 year old Durant is taking those precious MVP's away from the Queen.
Imagine if KD never existed. LeBron could possibly have 10 MVP's and 8 rings.
Now? He's gonna retire with 4 MVP's and only 2 rings. And that's AFTER joining a stacked team with two other superstars.
LeBron is the most underwhelming 'face of the NBA' in the history of the sport. The only dude who won't be remembered for his competitive spirit and winning attitude, but instead his 'choking', abandoning his home-state for an easier path, and now Kevin Durant surpassing him.
No one will remember LeBron as a 'winner' like they remember Bill Russell or Michael Jordan... or Magic Johnson or Larry Bird..
He will be remembered as the dude who didn't quite live up to his physical abilities because of his lack of competitive drive. Be known as the guy who abandoned his home town team to play with Dwayne Wade. And mainly, for the biggest choke in the history of this planet.... the 2011 finals.
Many of you don't understand that LeBron is done winning MVP's and rings. He simply lacks the discipline, work ethic, and competitiveness to fight through the inevitable 'father time' that is already knocking on his door at the ripe age of 29 because his game has relied on athleticism his whole damn career.
Not only that, but he's already mentally complacent. Just going through the motions. Already has an excuse ingrained in his subconscious. "Don't worry LeBron... you already have two rings.. you don't HAVE to win it this year, just go out and try to play well and things will be ok"
That's just the attitude that LeBron has. All of his stans know it too and outright admit that LeBron is the most mentally fragile superstar in the history of sports.
Kevin Durant on the other hand will be remembered in the same light as Bill, Michael, Larry, and Magic. He has that same winning attitude. Kevin Durant is connected to his team the same way Bill Russell was.
Durant may end up being the best teammate and winner ever. He has those unteachable intangibles that just make you .
Congrats to pre-prime Durant stealing the MVP away from LeBron. This is great for the leagues image. I think LeBron will take this personally and his numbers will dip even more than usual this year in the playoffs. We know LeBron can't handle any extra internal conflict.
Without that MVP, LeBron goes insane. 2011 finals had him shook because he didn't have the validation that he was the 'best' so he lost his own identity on the national stage.
Gonna happen again. Stay tuned.
hmm

People act as if ray Allen hit the game winning shot in game 7. No, all he did was extend the series. If spurs were truly better than Miami they would've closed it out but they couldn't. Miami was the better team last year and is the better team this year hands down. No record breaking three point performance or crazy fluke shot by tony Parker this year. Miami in 6.

Lebron all but choked? He was the best player on the floor, yes including ray Allen. He was absolutely balling aside from a couple harsh turnovers but shit happens. People turn the ball over every game. And the best part was he wasn't shying from the ball at all. Even after missing the last three pointer he called like crazy for the ball back to drop another. He didn't shy away at all which is what you lebron haters criticize him most for. But when you he's super confident you just find some other reason to hate. "Well he had two turnovers doe!"

This. He willed his team back into the game when everything was looking grim. If you watch the 4th, he is a part of just about every play whether it's scoring or assisting, or shutting down TP.

So op is another one of those fakkits that already has an excuse for every scenario.
If Heat win. Most stacked team ever. They should've won.
All that needs to be said is that the Heat are the underdogs in this series.
I'm really curious why you felt the need to create this thread when the same shit gets posted here almost daily. Did you really think you had some mind blowing arguments that no one ever brought up before?
Because they have nothing better to do. Literally half of the front page is full of threads like this daily.

Glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this OP. Dudes are so pathetic, making excuses before the series even starts :facepalm

Yeah. I want to believe the Spurs are the better team, and maybe they are, but Wade and Bran are huge X-factors. Timmy's going to need another 20/10 series to compete IMO. Either that or Tony and Manu actually show up :lol

No one wants to feel alone.
If I knew everything in the world and no one else did, I would feel very alone.
Knowledge can be painful.
If you don't want to feel alone go outside and meet some real people. :lol
The large Lebron hating contingent on this site may give you props for your posts, but none of them give a shit about you as a person. If you stopped posting forever tomorrow, non of them would even notice or care. :confusedshrug:

I love how they claim Lebron is a top 10 player of all time yet his team are the underdogs :kobe:

On the flip side, Bron haters have the "stacked" narrative until his Heat teams get compared to Kobe's Lakers. Then it's Lakers in 4 :confusedshrug:

Or when people call them the most stacked team of all time, but they pick the other team to beat them in the Finals every year.

Or rather the most stacked team of all time, but they pick the other team to beat them in the Finals every year.
Saying a team is the most stacked has nothing to do with the outcome of a series. You can be the most stacked, talent wise, and still lose a series.
Most stacked = most talented.

Of course you can, but Miami is not the most stacked. The Spurs are the better team. They have a far better bench. But Miami is more talented or rather, top heavy.

Yeah, series is up to Lebron IMO, and he's been damn good these playoffs. Pretty hard to bet against the best two players in the series, and Ray Allen.
