I know you can get fined for not cutting your front yards grass , but what about backyard?

If your neighborhood is part of a home owner's association then yes...you could be kicked out of your own home

I dont think it's illegal, your neighbor(if you have any) might get a little upset and might be able to file a complaint though.

it would likely depend on your local council, if someone files a complaint it can be ruled a health hazard for various reasons. I know in my area it can be rules unsafe due to fire hazard and snakes. Just post the model or your lawn mower or google how to start it, it's not that hard.

I think the law is anything past the sight line of your fence. Anything above is a fine unless you have a permit

my parent's neighborhood has a strict HOA

no chain link fences, no satellites, grass must be shorter than 'x', don't leave trash can out front on these days, etc

when I lived in a condo building, it had some strict HOA requirements as well, couldn't own any pet over a certain size

I got 4 days left till im traveling for the summer and I gotta cut the grass , and I know it will grow back after a month but the people who will be living in my house will cut it and they wouldn't want to show up and find tall grass.

I can't cut it since I don't have a lawn mower that works, I was fortunate enough that my neighbor let me borrow his for 20 minutes which was enough for the front yard but not the back.
